Kasaji

Kasaji is a city and administrative district in the Democratic Republic of Congo. It is located in the province of Lualaba, in the southern part of the country, 1100 km southeast of the capital Kinshasa. [1]

The region surrounding Kasaji is sparsely populated, with about 8 inhabitants per square kilometer.

Kasaji is crossed by the Benguela railway, which connects it to Kolwezi, the capital of the province of Lualaba, and; to the city of Luau, in Angola. [2]

The city has Kasaji Airport.

The Lualaba River flows entirely within the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo. It is the greatest river source (headstream) of the Congo River by volume of water. Lomami National Park

Lomami National Park is a national park located in the Democratic Republic of Congo in Central Africa. Situated within the middle basin of the Lomami River, it straddles the Provinces of Tshopo and Maniema with a slight overlap into the forests of the Tshuapa and Lualaba river basins. The National Park was formally declared on 7 July 2016. It is the 9th national park in the country and the first to be created since 1992.
