The Kastri Lighthouse also known as the Lighthouse of Othonoi is an active 19th-century lighthouse which marks the approaches to Othonoi the most northerly island of the Ionian archipelago. [1] [2] [3]
Established in 1872, the lighthouse was built on Cape Kastri, at the northeastern tip of the island. A road links the site to Ammos the main settlement on Othonoi.
The light, which has a characteristic of one flash of white light every ten seconds, is shown from a lantern room at the top of a 13-metre-high (43 ft) tower. The masonry tower stands above the seaward side of a single-story keeper's house. With a focal height of 103 m above sea level, the light can be seen for 18 nautical miles.
According to The Lighthouses of Greece: "It was damaged during World War II by bombs and looters and was unlit from 1941 until 1954. The kerosene beacon was then restored and served until 1985 when it was electrified." [2]
Along with other Greek lighthouses, it is maintained and operated by the Hellenic Navy Hydrographic Service. [1]

Sea Hill Lighthouse, also known as Sea Hill Point Light or Little Sea Hill Light, is a lighthouse on the northwest point of Curtis Island, Gladstone Region, Queensland, Australia. Its purpose was to mark the east side of the entrance to Keppel Bay, on passage to Fitzroy River and Port Alma. North Reef Light is an active lighthouse located on North Reef, a 5.6 square kilometres (2.2 sq mi) planar reef, about 120 kilometres (75 mi) northeast of Gladstone, Queensland, Australia in the Capricorn and Bunker Group. The lighthouse was constructed on a migratory patch of sand inside a fringing coral reef, which over the years disappeared and reappeared, as sand was washed away and accumulated, and is now a vegetated sandy island. Its construction is unique, having a hollow concrete base that both gives it resistance to the shifting nature of the sandbar and serves as a freshwater tank. As such, it is considered one of the major achievement in Australian lighthouse construction. It is also notable in that due to the harsh conditions, only bachelors were allowed to serve as lighthouse keepers. At 24 metres (79 ft) it is also the tallest of Queensland's timber-framed iron clad lighthouses.
Wyborn Reef Light is an active lighthouse located at Wyborn Reef, formerly known as Y Reef, about 16 kilometres (9.9 mi) southeast of Albany Island, east of the tip of Cape York Peninsula, Queensland, Australia. The lighthouse was built on the eastern part of the Haulbowline rocks, one of a number of navigation hazards at the seaward end of Carlingford Lough, which include a notable rocky shoal or bar across the mouth of the lough. The multi-purpose light was designed to help mark the rocks and, when first built, the depth of water over the bar, as well as acting as a landfall light for ships entering from the Irish Sea. Associated with the lighthouse are the leading lights at Green Island and Vidal Bank which mark the safe channel along Carlingford Lough, with Haulbowline displaying a reserve light in case of problems with these leading lights.
