Katherine Crouch

Katherine Crouch was Miss Idaho 2006 and competed in the Miss America 2007 pageant. [1] She is a native of Rexburg, Idaho and a Latter-day Saint. She wore an evening gown with sleeves and a one-piece bathing suit at the competition.

One of Crouch's main pushes as Miss Idaho was opposition to drugs and encouraging programs to help children avoid the use of illegal drugs.

When Crouch won Miss Idaho, she was a student at Brigham Young University–Idaho. [2] She studied nursing there. [3]

The Rexburg Idaho Temple is the 125th operating temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Announced in late 2003, the temple was dedicated on February 10, 2008 and was the first temple dedicated by Thomas S. Monson as the church's new president. The Rexburg Idaho Temple was the third LDS temple in Idaho. The temple sits south of the Brigham Young University–Idaho (BYU–Idaho) campus on the south side of Rexburg. Prior to its completion, BYU–Idaho had been the only LDS Church-owned university without a temple adjacent to its campus.

Disappearance of Tylee Ryan and J. J. Vallow

The disappearance of Tylee Ryan and J. J. Vallow concerns two siblings, ages 17 and 7 respectively, from Rexburg, Idaho, who have not been seen since September 2019. Prompted by relatives concerned not only about the kids they hadn't heard from in weeks, but also about other suspicious incidents, in November 2019 police questioned their mother, Lori Vallow, about the children's whereabouts and welfare. Vallow and her new husband Chad Daybell told the police that both children were with relatives in Arizona, from where they had moved in early September, but police ascertained that to be a lie. The day after being questioned, Vallow and Daybell left Rexburg, abandoning a storage locker full of children's items and photos, and were not seen until they were found in Kauai, Hawaii on Sunday, January 26, 2020, to be served a court order demanding they produce the children by January 30. The children were not produced as ordered.
