Kathleen Jansen

Kathleen Jansen is a judge of the Michigan Court of Appeals.

She has degrees from Michigan State University and the University of Detroit Law School.

Prior to her appointment to the appeals court in 1989 she served on the Macomb County Circuit Court. She also earlier served on the Macomb County Probate Court. When she was elected to that court in 1984 she became the first woman to serve on it.

She received national attention when, as a Macomb County Circuit Court judge, she delivered her ruling in the case of Bailey v. Mathers partially in the form of a rap rhyme.

Candice Sue Miller is an American politician serving as the Public Works Commissioner of Macomb County, Michigan since 2017. A member of the Republican Party, Miller previously served as the U.S. representative for Michigan's 10th congressional district from 2003 to 2017, the Michigan Secretary of State from 1995 to 2003, and the Macomb County Treasurer from 1993 to 1995. She also served as the Harrison Township Supervisor. She was inducted into the Michigan Women's Hall of Fame in 2015.

Dorothy Comstock Riley was a lawyer and judge from the U.S. state of Michigan, serving on the Michigan Supreme Court and the first woman to serve on the Michigan Court of Appeals. She was the first Hispanic woman to be elected to the Supreme Court of any state.
