Kattem is a neighborhood in the city of Trondheim in Trøndelag county, Norway. The area is located in the borough of Heimdal, south of Lundåsen, north of the village of Klett, and southwest of the village of Heimdal. The residential areas were built during the 1970s. It is the site of the Kattem IL sports team.

Leinstrand is a former municipality in the old Sør-Trøndelag county, Norway. The 46-square-kilometre (18 sq mi) municipality existed from 1838 until its dissolution in 1964. The administrative centre was located in the village of Heimdal, just west of the border with Tiller municipality. The local Leinstrand Church was built in 1673.

Klett is a village in Trondheim municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. The village is located in the Leinstrand area of the borough of Heimdal. The village areas of Heimdal and Tiller lie to the northeast, the Byneset area lies to the west, and the village of Melhus lies to the south. Most of the area surrounding the village is farmland.
Heimdal Upper Secondary School is one of the largest upper secondary schools in the county of Sør-Trøndelag, Norway. It is located about ten km south of the city centre of Trondheim. The school has approximately 700 students, 140 employees and the current headmaster is Ivar M. Husby.

The hexagonal concrete church was built in a modern style in 1974 by the architectural firm of Arnstad og Heggenhougen. The church seats about 525 people. It is the church for the Tiller parish which is part of the Heimdal og Byåsen prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Nidaros. The white, wooden church was built in a long church style in 1901 by the architect Johan Kunig. The church seats about 200 people. The church was almost totally destroyed in a fire on 9 September 2001. It was rebuilt after the fire.
