Katy Ward (born 5 January 1984) [1] is an English former footballer who played as left-back. She last played for Coventry City.
Ward played for Wolves and Aston Villa [2] before joining Birmingham City. [3] In March 2004, she suffered torn ankle ligaments, a broken fibula and a cracked tibia early in Birmingham's FA Women's Cup semi-final defeat to Charlton Athletic Ladies. [4] She spent the 2005–06 season with Bristol Academy before returning to Birmingham City in the later part of the 2006 season. [5] She left for Blackburn Rovers in July 2009 [2] [6] and scored on the opening day of the 2009–10 season in a 1–1 draw with Doncaster Rovers Belles. [7]
Ward has represented England at Under-16, 18 and 19 levels. [3]
Ward is a former pupil of Cockshut Hill School. [8] Ward works as a teacher at Kings Heath Boys School in Birmingham. [3]

Blackburn Rovers Women Football Club is a women's football club based in Blackburn, Lancashire, England, that competes in the Women's Championship, the second tier of English women's football, after gaining promotion from the Women's National League North at the end of the 2018–19 season. The club spent five seasons in the FA Women's Premier League National Division, the highest level of the women's game in England prior to the formation of the Women's Super League in 2011, from 2006 until their relegation at the end of the 2010–11 season. They declined to submit an application to become an inaugural member of the Women's Super League due to their reluctance to split the team from the men's. They have been affiliated with Blackburn Rovers as the women's division since their formation in 1991.
Liverpool Football Club, commonly referred to as Liverpool or Liverpool Football Club Women if distinguishing themselves from the men's team, is a professional English women's football team based in Liverpool, Merseyside, England. They have served as the official women's division of Liverpool Football Club since 1994. Founded in 1989 as Newton LFC and subsequently renamed Knowsley United WFC, Liverpool Ladies and Liverpool FC Women over the years. Tranmere Rovers Ladies Football Club are an English team founded in 1990, based in the Wirral, and affiliated with Tranmere Rovers F.C. Between 1996 and 2004 they competed in the FA Premier League National Division, then the top tier of the English women's football pyramid.
