The Kayathar Airport is an unused airport near Kayatharu. This airport was operated as an airbase by Britishers during World War II, [1] later it was left unused and turned to barren land though the airstrip remains undamaged. [2]
Its also easily accessible to train route near the station by KADAMBUR, earlier Britishers making their train foot strips in this route. Now also we can this foot strips in that particular location.
Now this airstrip is taken by the Government of India with plans to construct a new airport under UDAN scheme. [3]

The Thiruvananthapuram - Shoranur canal is a historic canal in India, from Trivandrum to Shoranur. It was one of the most arterial transportation mode in erstwhile Travancore princely state. Most of the trade, commerce and freight traffic in Travancore used to happen through this canal. Chitrakoot Airport is an under-construction domestic airport which will serve the city of Chitrakoot, Uttar Pradesh, India. It is located at Dewangna in Chitrakoot district, 12 km (7.5 mi) from the city centre. The existing airstrip with a runway is currently owned by the Civil Aviation Department of the Government of Uttar Pradesh. In January 2019, the State Government decided to expand the airstrip and construct an airport terminal by acquiring additional land from the forest department. The airport has a pre-fabricated passenger terminal covering 525 square metres and can accommodate 20 arriving and 20 departing passengers. In October 2020, Gurugram-based Aviation Connectivity and Infrastructure Developers Pvt Ltd won the rights to operate flights from the airport to Kanpur, Allahabad and Varanasi, under the government's UDAN Regional Connectivity Scheme. Currently, the airport is not operational, and the terminal is being handled only for private operations. To make it a full-fledged commercial airport, it is undergoing expansion, which includes a new 2,500 metre runway, suitable for handling Airbus A320 and Boeing 737 type aircraft, an apron and a new passenger terminal. Before the completion of the expansion project, the existing terminal is announced to restart operations, and for that, is expected to get the license within 4-5 months from now, as of February 2023. The expansion project is expected to be completed by 2024.

Ude Desh ka Aam Naagrik, known by its acronym UDAN is a regional airport development program of the Government of India and part of the Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS) of upgrading under-serviced air routes. Its goal is to make air travel affordable and improve economic development in India. At the beginning of the scheme, out of total of 486 airports, 406 were under-serviced airports, 27 were well-served airports, out of 97 non-RCS airports only 12 were operational airports, out of 18 participating airports under-served regional operational airports with regular fixed-wing scheduled flights. UDAN scheme will add to this number by expediting the development and operationalization of India's potential target of nearly 425 unserved, under-served, and mostly underdeveloped regional airports with regularly scheduled flights. However, there are several issues and criticisms such as poor infrastructure, dominance by larger airlines and degradation of regional airlines, slow implementation that plague this scheme.

The Indian Army Pioneer Corps or Pioneers is the operational logistics arm of the Indian Army. Though not a combat arm, the Pioneer Corps provide disciplined and well trained manpower where civilian labour is either not available or its employment is not desirable for reasons of security. Pioneer units are mostly committed in forward and operational areas. Although the Pioneer Corps were at one time the third largest troop in the Army and had a total of 26 Pioneer Companies even till 1999, today there are 21 Pioneer Units under various commands. The Pioneer Corps Training Center (PCTC) is currently located in Bangalore.

The Cholavaram Airport, or Sholavaram Airport, is an unused airport near Cholavaram, Chennai. It was originally operated by the Royal Air Force as an airbase during World War II. After the war it was abandoned until the airstrip was turned into a venue for drag racing. Most notably, the famous Malayalam actor Jayan was killed in a helicopter accident here during the shooting of his film Kolilakkam on 16 November 1980.
