Kayleigh Trappe (born 9 October 1995) is an Irish social media and television personality from Co. Monaghan in Ireland. She is known for her comedy videos on the social media platforms, Instagram and TikTok. [1] [2]

Career

Trappe first gained a social media following, during the COVID-19 pandemic, with her comedy and lip-syncing videos. Prior to her media career, Trappe worked as a primary school teacher in her native county. [3]

Trappe has gained much public attention from her lip-syncing videos of the likes of David and Victoria Beckham, [4] Peter Crouch and Abbey Clancy, [5] Joanne McNally and Vogue Williams, [6] Roy Keane [7] and Maura Higgins. [8]

On 2 March 2024, Trappe won 'Best Social Media Star' at the ninth annual Goss.ie Awards. [9]

Trappe has appeared on several Irish television programmes including The Late Late Show, [10] The 6 O'Clock Show , [11] Today and The 2 Johnnies Late Night Lock In. [12]

In June 2024, Trappe was heavily rumoured to be taking over The 2 Johnnies RTÉ 2fm radio show following their departure. [13] [14] However, she denied the claims and spoke about the feeling like she'd "let people down" when the rumours turned out to be untrue. [15] [16] [17]

Personal life

Trappe has spoken openly about struggling with body dysmorphia. [18] Trappe has been in a relationship since 2020. [19] Trappe is a fluent Irish language speaker. [20] [21] [22]
