Jalal-Abad is the administrative and economic centre of Jalal-Abad Region in southwestern Kyrgyzstan. Its area is 88 square kilometres (34 sq mi), and its resident population was 123,239 in 2021. It is situated at the north-eastern end of the Fergana valley along the Kögart river valley, in the foothills of the Babash Ata mountains, very close to the Uzbekistan border.
Chüy Region is the northernmost region of Kyrgyzstan, surrounding the country's national capital of Bishkek. It is bounded on the north by Kazakhstan, and clockwise, Issyk-Kul Region, Naryn Region, Jalal-Abad Region, and Talas Region. Its administrative center is Bishkek. Its total area is 19,895 km2 (7,682 sq mi). The resident population of the region was 974,984 as of January 2021. The region has sizeable Russian and Dungan minorities. It takes its name from the river Chüy, that flows through the region.
Jalal-Abad Region is a region (oblast) of Kyrgyzstan. Its capital is the city of the same name, Jalal-Abad. It is surrounded by Talas Region, Chüy Region, Naryn Region, Osh Region, and Uzbekistan. Jalal-Abad Region was established on 21 November 1939. On 27 January 1959 it became a part of Osh Region, but regained its old status as a region on 14 December 1990. Its total area is 32,418 km2 (12,517 sq mi). The resident population of the region was 1,260,617 as of January 2021. The region has a sizeable Uzbek minority.

Its capital is Naryn. Its total area is 44,160 km2 (17,050 sq mi). The resident population of the region was 292,140 as of January 2021.

The resident population of the region was 1,391,649 as of January 2021. The region has a sizeable Uzbek minority.
Talas Region is a region (oblast) of Kyrgyzstan. Its capital is Talas. It is bordered on the west and north by Jambyl Region of Kazakhstan, on the east by Chüy Region, on the south by Jalal-Abad Region and on the southwest by a finger of Uzbekistan. Its total area is 13,406 km2 (5,176 sq mi). The resident population of the region was 270,994 as of January 2021.
Toktogul, is a city in Jalal-Abad Region of Kyrgyzstan. Its population was 20,577 in 2021. It is the administrative seat of Toktogul District.
Tash-Kömür is one of the five largest towns of Jalal-Abad Region in Southern Kyrgyzstan. It is a city of regional significance, not part of a district. Its area is 47 square kilometres (18 sq mi), and its resident population was 44,065 in 2021. It is located along the West bank of the river Naryn, opposite the main Osh - Bishkek road. Located at the edge of the Tien Shan Mountains, when heading South from Bishkek, Tash-Kömür is the gateway to the Fergana valley.
Saymaluu-Tash is a petroglyph site and a national park in Jalal-Abad Region, Kyrgyzstan, south of Kazarman. Over 10,000 stones bear pictures—perhaps as many as 98,000 pictures in all—which are black-and-white rock paintings, making the site a globally important collection of rock art. The pictures have been pecked into the near black or grey shiny desert varnish covering many rocks. Most pictures are from the Bronze Age and show animals, humans and symbols. They may partly be seen as a sacred display of offerings of the ancient people of the lower valley.
Kara-Köl is a city in Jalal-Abad Region of Kyrgyzstan. It is a city of regional significance, not part of a district. Its area is 1,050 square kilometres (410 sq mi), and its resident population was 26,901 in 2021. Kara-Köl consists of the town proper, the urban-type settlement Ketmen-Töbö and the village Jazy-Kechüü.
Ala-Buka a village which is the seat of Ala-Buka District of Jalal-Abad Region, Kyrgyzstan. Its population was 15,426 in 2021.
Kyzyl-Jar is a village in Aksy District of Jalal-Abad Region in Kyrgyzstan. Its population was 7,074 in 2021. The river Naryn separates the village from Uch-Kurgan, Uzbekistan, not far from Namangan. The area and even the village are still sometimes referred to as Uch-Korgon, presumably due to the lumping together of the two villages during Soviet times. Until 2004, the rural community Nazaraliev, of which Kyzyl-Jar is part, was named Uchkorgon. The village is located on the edge of the Fergana Valley and as such is a heavy watermelon, melon, and cotton-producing area.
Kyzyl-Beyit is a remote village in the Jalal-Abad Region of Kyrgyzstan. It is part of the Aksy District. It is bordered by mountains on one side and the Naryn River on the other. Transportation to and from the village mainly relies on ferries and boats. Its population was 342 in 2021.
Bazar-Korgon is a town in Jalal-Abad Region of Kyrgyzstan. Formerly a large village, it was established as a city in January 2021 from the former rural community of Bazar-Korgon and part of the rural community Kengesh. Its population was 41,011 in 2021. The majority of its inhabitants are ethnic Uzbek and the remaining 20% are predominantly ethnic Kyrgyzs. The town has a large open air market. Shared taxis to the regional capital Jalal-Abad depart every 15 to 20 minutes.
Kyzyl-Adyr is a village in the Kara-Buura District of Talas Region of Kyrgyzstan. It is the seat of the Kara-Buura District. Its population was 13,612 in 2021. To the north is the Kirovskaya Reservoir. From the main east–west highway through Talas Region, one road goes north to Taraz in Kazakhstan and another goes south to Jalal-Abad Region over the Kara-Buura Pass to the Chatkal Valley.
Kochkor is a large village in northern Naryn Region of Kyrgyzstan. It is the administrative centre of Kochkor District. The village was established in 1909 as Stolypino and renamed to Kochkor in 1917. Altitude 1,800 m. Its population was 11,373 in 2021. It is on the main A365 highway from Torugart Pass (China) north to Bishkek. About 7 km west A367 branches west toward Jalal-Abad Region and the Ferghana Valley. About 25 km northeast along the highway is the Orto-Tokoy reservoir and about 45 km northeast is Balykchy on Lake Issyk-Kul. The village is a base for excursions into the high country and tourist infrastructure is fairly well developed. There is a regional museum.
Baetov is a village and the administrative seat of Ak-Talaa District in Naryn Region of Kyrgyzstan. Its population was 10,682 in 2021. It lies on the Naryn valley road about half-way from Naryn to Kazarman. At this point, a road branches south to Baetov on an outwash plain in the mountains. A jeep road goes south over a 3,268m pass to the At-Bashy valley and A365 to the Torugart Pass.
Aksy is a district of Jalal-Abad Region in western Kyrgyzstan. The seat lies at Kerben. Its area is 4,578 km2 (1,768 sq mi), and its resident population was 137,103 in 2021.
Toktogul is a district of Jalal-Abad Region in western Kyrgyzstan. The administrative seat lies at Toktogul. Its area is 7,815 square kilometres (3,017 sq mi), and its resident population was 103,310 in 2021.
Naryn is a village in Jalal-Abad Region of Kyrgyzstan. It is part of the Aksy District. Its population was 11,306 in 2021. It is situated on the right bank of the river Naryn, adjacent to Kyzyl-Jar and across from Uchqoʻrgʻon (Uzbekistan).
