William Keith McDonald (born February 8,1973) is a former Major League Baseball catcher and right-handed batter. He made his debut with the St. Louis Cardinals in 2000. He attended Esperanza High School in Anaheim,California.
On July 4,2000 McDonald became the third player in St. Louis history to hit a home run in his first major league at-bat. On July 6,he homered in his second at-bat,becoming only the second player in MLB history to hit home runs in each of his first two big league at bats. Bob Nieman,in 1951,is the other. McDonald hit a third home run that year. McDonald has the most home runs of any MLB player not to have had any other hits. [1] [2]
In his first season McDonald batted .429 (3-7),with three homers,five RBI and three runs in six games. He returned the following season as a September call-up,and was hitless in two at-bats.

He holds the major-league career record for at bats per home run ratio (10.6),and is the former record holder for both home runs in a single season and home runs hit by a rookie. McGwire was one of several central figures in baseball's steroids scandal.
Samuel Peralta Sosa is a Dominican-American former professional baseball right fielder. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for 18 seasons,primarily with the Chicago Cubs. After playing for the Texas Rangers and Chicago White Sox,Sosa joined the Cubs in 1992 and became regarded as one of the game's best hitters. Sosa hit his 400th home run in his 1,354th game and his 5,273rd at-bat,reaching this milestone quicker than any player in National League history. He is one of nine players in MLB history to hit 600 career home runs.

Robert Charles Nieman was an American professional baseball player and scout. An outfielder,he spent all or parts of a dozen Major League Baseball seasons with the St. Louis Browns (1951–52),Detroit Tigers (1953–54),Chicago White Sox (1955–56),Baltimore Orioles (1956–59),St. Louis Cardinals (1960–61),Cleveland Indians (1961–62) and San Francisco Giants (1962). In Major League history,he is tied in 148th place for most all-time triples and,his 224 career stolen bases,place him equal 279th on the all-time list. Cooley made his Major League debut at the age of 20,and spent the majority of his career there,but he also appeared in minor league baseball. After breaking his leg with the Tigers in 1905,he was replaced with future Hall of Fame outfielder Ty Cobb. Cooley,nicknamed "Sir Richard" due to his aristocratic manner,was listed as standing 5 feet 11 inches (180 cm) and weighing 158 pounds (72 kg).
