Kelvin Han Yee (born June 14, 1961) is an American actor of Asian descent. His career spans over 30 years of film, television and theater.
As a teenager, Yee became involved with the pioneering work of Asian American Theater Company. He was an original member of San Francisco's The National Theater Of The Deranged and San Francisco Mime Troupe. He was a member of the acting company at American Conservatory Theater for six seasons. He has acted with Berkeley Repertory Theatre, Huntington Theatre Company, East West Players, Mark Taper Forum and Lodestone Theatre Ensemble. [1]

The San Jose Repertory Theatre was the first resident professional theatre company in San Jose, California. It was founded in 1980 by James P. Reber. In 2008, after the demise of the American Musical Theatre of San Jose, the San Jose Rep became the largest non-profit, professional theatre company in the South Bay with an annual operating budget of $5 million. In 2006, it was saved from impending insolvency by a $2 million bailout loan from the city of San Jose; this was later restructured into a long-term loan similar to a mortgage.

Asian American theatre refers to theatre written, directed or acted by Asian Americans. From initial efforts by four theatre companies in the 1960s, Asian-American theatre has grown to around forty groups today. Rick Shiomi is a Japanese Canadian playwright, stage director, artistic director and taiko artist. The Asian American Theater Company(AATC) is a non-profit theatre performance company based in San Francisco. Its stated mission is "To connect people to Asian American culture through Theatre". The company's main stage productions are new plays and revivals of classics by Asian Pacific Islander American playwrights, directed, performed, and designed by local talent. Most scripts are developed at AATC and each are presented at various venues around the Bay Area with full-production runs.
Golden Gate Girl, also known as Tears in San Francisco or Jinmen Nü is a Hong Kong drama film made in San Francisco in 1941, directed by Esther Eng and veteran filmmaker Kwan Man-Ching, the film was released in San Francisco but wasn't shown in Asia until 1946.
