Kemi "Lala" Akindoju Loudspeaker.svg Listen is a Nigerian actress. She won an Africa Magic trailbrailzer award for her role in the film adaptation of Dazzling Mirage . [1]

Personal life

Akindoju was born on 8 March 1987 in a family of 4 children. [2] She's a native of Ondo State. She had her secondary education at Queens College, Lagos. After obtaining her West African Examinations Council examination, She proceeded to study insurance at University of Lagos. She also received a master's degree from Pan-Atlantic University, studying media and communication. She married Chef Fregz in September 2018 and had a son in February 2021. [3]

Career

She started her acting career in 2005 from stage performance before venturing into feature films. [4]

Dazzling Mirage is a 2014 Nigerian drama film, produced and directed by Tunde Kelani; it stars Kemi "Lala" Akindoju, Kunle Afolayan, Bimbo Manuel, Yomi Fash Lanso, Taiwo Ajai-Lycett and Seun Akindele. It also features special appearances from Adewale Ayuba, Sean Tizzle, Tunde Babalola and Steve Sodiya. The film is an adaptation of a novel of the same name by Olayinka Abimbola Egbokhare, adapted to screen by Ade Solanke. It tells the story of a young sickle-cell patient and the various social and emotional challenges she is faced with.

Ajayi was born on 31 March in Kaduna, the Northern part of Nigeria and is the last child among five children. His family moved to Lagos when he was nine years old. It is a sequel to Perfect Picture, also produced and written by Shirley Frimpong-Manso. At the 2020 Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards, Gloria Sarfo won the Best Supporting Actress in a Movie or TV Series for her role in the film.

<i>The Smart Money Woman</i> Nigerian series

The Smart Money Woman is a Nigerian TV series based on a 2016 novel of the same name by Arese Ugwu. The series premiered on Africa Magic Showcase in September 2020. The series was filmed to exclusively dramatise the novel. The series which initially aired as a single season of 13 episodes on Africa magic was released on Netflix as a single season with 7 episodes on Netflix on 16 September 2021. It was executively produced by the writer of the novel, Arese Ugwu and produced by Kemi Lala Akindoju. It starred Osas Ighodaro, Timini Egbuson, Ini Dima-Okojie, Kemi Lala Akindoju and many others.
