Kenneth Otto Eikenberry (born June 29,1932) [1] is an American lawyer and politician.
Eikenberry was Washington's Attorney General from 1981 to 1993. A Republican,he succeeded Slade Gorton,who went on to represent Washington in the United States Senate. Eikenberry ran for governor of Washington in 1992,and was defeated narrowly by Democrat Mike Lowry. Eikenberry is currently on the board of the Constitutional Law PAC.
Eikenberry was a 3-term elected member of the Washington State House of Representatives,36th District,from 1971 through 1977. He also served as the elected Chairman of the Washington State Republican Party 1977 to June,1980,and again from 1993 through 1996.
He endorsed Clint Didier for the Senate in the 2010 midterm elections. [2] [3]
Recently[ when? ] he has been seen on TV in Washington urging a "NO" vote on the Washington Initiative 522,2012 on labeling of genetically-engineered foods.[ citation needed ]
The Republican Party of Minnesota is the state affiliate of the Republican Party in Minnesota and the oldest active political party in the state. Founded in 1855,the party controls four of Minnesota's eight congressional House seats. The last Republican governor of the state was Tim Pawlenty,who served from 2003 to 2011. The party's headquarters is located in Edina,Minnesota and the current chairman is David Hann. Starting in 2023 and as a result of the 2022 elections,the Republican Party of Minnesota does not have substantial power over the state,holding no statewide executive offices,no U.S. Senate seats,and minorities in the state legislatures.
The Conservative Party of New York State is an American political party founded in 1962 following conservative dissatisfaction with the Republican Party in New York. Running on the Conservative Party line,James L. Buckley won election to the U.S. Senate in 1970 and served for one term. Since 2010,the party has held "Row C" on New York ballots—the third-place ballot position,directly below the Democratic and Republican parties—because it received the third-highest number of votes of any political party in the 2010,2014 and 2018 New York gubernatorial elections. The party is known for its strategy of attempting to influence the Republican Party in a more conservative direction.
A nonpartisan blanket primary is a primary election in which all candidates for the same elected office run against each other at once,regardless of the political party. Partisan elections are,on the other hand,segregated by political party. Nonpartisan blanket primaries are slightly different from most other elections systems with two rounds/a runoff,also known as "jungle primaries",in a few ways. The first round of a nonpartisan blanket primary is officially the "primary." Round two is the "general election." Round two must be held,even if one candidate receives a majority in the first round.
The 2009 Virginia gubernatorial election took place in Virginia on November 3,2009. The incumbent Governor,Democrat Tim Kaine,was not eligible to run due to term limits established by the Virginia Constitution,though others in the state's executive branch were not restricted. Republican Bob McDonnell was elected as Governor as part of a Republican sweep. Republican Bill Bolling was reelected as lieutenant governor,and Republican Ken Cuccinelli was elected as attorney general. The winners were inaugurated on January 16,2010,and served until January 11,2014.
The 1996 United States Senate election in Arkansas was held on November 5,1996. Incumbent Democratic U.S. Senator David Pryor decided to retire. Republican Tim Hutchinson won the open seat,becoming the first Republican to win a U.S. Senate seat in Arkansas since Reconstruction in 1872 and the first to ever be popularly elected in the state. He was the first to win this seat since 1870.

Incumbent Democratic U.S. Senator Jim Webb retired instead of running for reelection to a second term,and former Democratic governor of Virginia Tim Kaine won the open seat over Republican former senator and governor George Allen. Kaine was unopposed for the Democratic nomination,and the Republicans nominated Allen through a primary on June 12,2012. Allen had previously held this seat for one term before narrowly losing reelection to Webb in 2006.

Lamontagne is a lawyer and a Republican former political candidate who was his party's nominee for Governor of New Hampshire in 1996 and 2012. He also unsuccessfully sought the Republican nomination for the US Senate in 2010.
