Kenneth Maiuri(born 1971)[ citation needed ] is an American multi-instrumentalist and composer based in Florence, Massachusetts. Since early 2016, he has been the keyboardist for The B-52's. [1] He has played in numerous other bands, such as Pedro the Lion and The Mammals. [2] He has been part of the live band for performances of "Picture-Stories" created by Ben Katchor and Mark Mulcahy, including The Slug Bearers of Kayrol Island, or, The Friends of Dr. Rushower; [3] A Checkroom Romance; [4] and Up from the Stacks. [5] Maiuri co-composed the music to Jason Mazzotta's 2015 short film The Century of Love, Part I. [6] In 2023 he backed up Eggstone’s Per Sunding for his first-ever US tour. [7] He has appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! [8] (with The B-52's), The Tonight Show with Jay Leno [9] and The Ellen DeGeneres Show [10] (as a member of the Young@Heart Chorus band), Fresh Air (with Mark Mulcahy), [11] and Mountain Stage (with Mark Mulcahy [12] and The Mammals). Career

Ken Maiuri wrote the weekly music column "Clubland" for the Daily Hampshire Gazette [19] from April 1995 – February 2020.

He hosts the long-running radio programs "Wiggly World" (a freeform mix, Monday nights 8 – 11 p.m. ET) and the "Saturday Jazz Show" (Saturdays 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. ET) online, on the Mixlr broadcast platform. [20]

The name "Icehouse", adopted in 1981, comes from an old, cold flat Davies lived in and the strange building across the road populated by itinerant people.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Mark Mulcahy</span> American singer-songwriter

Mark Mulcahy is an American musician. He was the front-man for the New Haven, Connecticut-based band Miracle Legion. The band earned modest renown, especially in their native New England region. Mulcahy soon formed Polaris, a house band for the mid-1990s alternative television series The Adventures of Pete & Pete (1993–1996). They are best remembered for the song "Hey Sandy" featured in the opening credits of each show, and for nostalgic tunes such as "Waiting for October" and "Saturnine". Following the cancellation of Pete & Pete, Mulcahy began playing his own shows in New York City and rebuilding his career. Mulcahy has opened for notable artists, including Oasis and Jeff Buckley and received homage from Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke, who dedicated a song to Mulcahy at a Boston show.

Sam John Farrar is an American musician. He is best known as a member of the pop band Maroon 5, in which he plays several instruments, primarily bass guitar. A frequent collaborator with the band since the 1990s, he joined as a touring member in 2012 and was promoted to an official member in 2016. He has also been the bassist for the rock band Phantom Planet since their formation in 1994.

Little Comets are an English indie rock trio from Jarrow and Washington, Tyne and Wear. They are described as playing "kitchen sink indie" music. In early 2009 the band were signed to Columbia Records following numerous gigs in strange locations such as lecture theatres and various modes of public transport and support from DJ Huw Stephens. After departing their major record label they released their début album, In Search of Elusive Little Comets, on 31 January 2011. The band released their second album, Life is Elsewhere, on 15 October 2012 under Dirty Hit records.

The Front Bottoms are an American rock band from Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey, formed in 2006. They are currently a duo consisting of lead vocalist and guitarist Brian Sella and drummer Mat Uychich. During live performances, they are currently accompanied by touring members, including guitarist and backing vocalist AJ Peacox, bassist and backing vocalist Natalie Newbold, and bassist, guitarist and backing vocalist Erik Kase Romero.

Lo Fine is an indie rock band, and recording project, started in Northampton, Massachusetts by singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Kevin O'Rourke in 1998. Although primarily the work of singer and multi-instrumentalist O'Rourke, his early collaborators (1999-2007) included musicians Brian Marchese (drums), Thane Thomsen (bass), and Mark Schwaber (guitar), as well as Bruce Tull of the Scud Mountain Boys, and José Ayerve. They have released three full length albums, and three EPs, notably incorporating home recordings with studio tracks on their early releases. The music is noted for its slow pace, quiet volume, and poetic lyrics, as well as being described as meditative, gentle, and melancholy.

<i>Glen Campbell: Ill Be Me</i> (soundtrack) 2014 EP and soundtrack album by Glen Campbell

Glen Campbell: I'll Be Me is the soundtrack to the 2014 American documentary film of the same name based on the life of country music singer Glen Campbell. An extended play consisted of five songs was released by Big Machine Records was released on October 17, 2014, in anticipation of the film's theatrical release, and was followed by a full soundtrack featuring 10 songs, which also includes tracks from the extended play, released on October 31.
