Ken Vidler (born 8 March 1954) is an Australian sprint canoeist who competed in the early 1980s. At the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow, he finished eighth in the K-4 1000 m event.
Vidler was born in Perth, and grew up in Scarborough, Western Australia where in 1967 he joined the 'Scarboro Surf Lifesaving Club' in 1967. [1]
Before his Olympic representation Vidler was, according to the Western Australian Institute of Sport (WAIS), "Australia's most-decorated surf lifesaving representative when he retired from top-level competition." In a career that spanned 23 years at junior and senior level, he won 50 medals. He won the Australian Ironman Title, held at the Australian Surf Life Saving Championships every year, in 1973, 1975 and 1976, after winning the junior iron man titles in 1971 and 1972. [1]

Graeme Thomas Brewer is an Australian former freestyle swimmer of the late 1970s and early 1980s who won a bronze medal in the 200-metre freestyle at the 1980 Summer Olympics. In all he won 13 Australian titles.
Cory Francis Hutchings is a former world surf lifesaving Ironman champion from Gisborne, New Zealand. Hutchings was born in Gisborne to a family of passionate sportspeople. His father Ben was the coach of the New Zealand men's canoeing team who won gold in four events at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics. Cory's involvement in surf lifesaving begun at age five.

Björn Zikarsky is a former freestyle swimmer from Germany, who won the bronze medal in the 4×100 m freestyle relay at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia. He did so alongside Christian Tröger, his twin brother Bengt Zikarsky and Mark Pinger. He also competed in the 1988 Summer Olympics for West Germany.

Ky Hurst is an Australian swimmer and ironman. He competed at the 2008 Summer Olympics in the 10km marathon swimming event and finished in 11th place, after qualifying by finishing fifth at the 2008 FINA World Open Water Swimming Championship. Hurst was one of the first Australian athletes to gain selection for the 2012 London Olympics by placing fifth at the 2011 World Open Water Swimming Championships. At that time Hurst decided to continue to pursue both swimming and Ironman racing during 2012, the latter he competed in with great success. Hurst was a long term ward of master coach Dennis Cottrell, at the Miami Club. He is now under noted swimmer and coach Colin Braund and in Bond Club.
Clint David Robinson, OAM is an Australian sprint kayaker and surf lifesaver. He has achieved significant success at the Summer Olympics, winning a total of three medals: a gold medal in the K-1 1000 meters at the 1992 Olympics, a silver medal in the K-2 500 meters at the 2004 Olympics, and a bronze bronze medal in the K-1 1000 meters at the 1996 Olympics.
Emma Moffatt is a retired Australian professional triathlete. She won a bronze medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, and won the gold at the ITU Triathlon World Championships in 2009 and in 2010. She was born in Moree, New South Wales, and was raised in the northern New South Wales town of Woolgoolga.
Dennis Allan Green was an Australian sprint canoeist, surf lifesaver, coach and sporting administrator who competed from the late 1950s to the early 1970s. He was the first Australian to compete in five Summer Olympics, and he won a bronze medal in the K-2 10000 m event at Melbourne in 1956. He also won 57 Gold Medals at the World Masters Games and a further 75 at national level.

Murray Scott Stewart is an Australian kayaker. Stewart qualified for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and teamed up with Riley Fitzsimmons, Lachlan Tame and Jordan Wood in the Men's K-4 500m sprint. The team did well in the heats clocking 1:22.662, came second in the semi-final, but couldn't repeat their best time coming in 6th in the final behind the eventual winner, Germany,
John Bloomfield was an Australian sport and sport science academic and author. Bloomfield played a crucial role in the development of the Australian high performance sport system between 1973 and 1989, particularly in relation to the Australian Institute of Sport and the Australian Sports Commission. While active in the above, he lectured and conducted research at the University of Western Australia and, from time to time, in North America and Eastern and Western Europe.
Daniel McLellan is a surf swimmer and life saving competitor who represented Australia on nine occasions during the 1990s. He has won numerous Australian titles and has saved many unexpected lives over his years of profession and non professional Surf Life Saving Australia) participation and competed in Kellogg's Surf League. He also represented Australia at the World Life Saving Championships and World Interclub Championships.
Robert "Bob" MacKenzie Burnside was an American lifeguard. He was appointed the first president of the Surf Life Saving Association of America in 1964, which later became known as the United States Lifesaving Association. In 1965, he was appointed president of the National Surf Life Saving Association. In 1967, he developed the revolutionary plastic “Burnside Rescue Can”, now a standard for lifeguards worldwide and iconic symbol of beach lifeguarding. He was a champion swimmer who introduced the Malibu balsa surfboard to Australia. He wrote the History of Junior Lifeguarding.
Lachlan Tame is an Australian canoe sprinter. Tame teamed up with Jordan Wood, Murray Stewart and Riley Fitzsimmons in the men's K-4 500m at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. The team came second in their heat with a time of 1.22:662. In their semi-final they rowed quite a bit slower but still managed to come second and qualify for the final. They couldn't keep up their good form and came sixth in the final, nearly 3 seconds behind the eventual winner, Germany.
Lewis Clareburt is a New Zealand swimmer. He is the current 2024 400m Individual Medley World Champion (4:09.72) and Commonwealth men's champion for 200 metre butterfly and 400 metre individual medley, having won both events at the 2022 Commonwealth Games. At the 2018 Commonwealth Games and the 2019 World Aquatics Championships, he won bronze medals in the men's 400 m individual medley. He swam in the 2020 International Swim League, competing for the New York Breakers. He is coached by Mitch Nairn at Club 37, Auckland.

Bernadette Wallace is an Australian canoeist. She qualified to represent Australia at the 2020 Summer Olympics. She competed in the Women's C-1 200 metres and with Josephine Bulmer in the Women's C-2 500 metres. They were unable to progress past the quarterfinals of the women’s C-1 200m, while they finished 13th as a pair in the C-2 500m.
