Kendal Nezan ( 2014)

Kendal Nezan is a French-Kurdish nuclear physicist and president of the Kurdish Institute of Paris. He was born in Turkey. He is also a board member of the Washington Kurdish Institute. [1]

Contents

In 1975, Nezan established the France-Kurdistan Society, which included the leading French intellectual Jean-Paul Sartre. [2]

Nezan maintains close relations with numerous European governments and the European Parliament. [2]

Abdullah Çatlı was a Turkish secret government agent, as well as a contract killer for the National Intelligence Organization (MİT). He led the Grey Wolves, the youth branch of the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), during the 1970s. His death in the Susurluk car crash, while travelling in a car with state officials, revealed the depth of the state's complicity in organized crime in what became known as the Susurluk scandal. He was a hitman for the state, and was involved in the killings of suspected members of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) and the Armenian Secret Army for the Liberation of Armenia (ASALA).

The Bahçelievler massacre is the name given to the events of October 9, 1978 in Bahçelievler, Ankara, Turkey, when seven university students, members of the Workers' Party of Turkey, were assassinated by ultra-nationalists including Grey Wolves' leader Abdullah Çatlı, and Haluk Kırcı. The assailants, who were armed with a number of weapons, were reportedly surprised to find the "revolutionary" students unarmed in their apartment. Five of the students were killed in the apartment, and two were taken away by car and killed nearby.

Its European studios were based in France, Germany and Sweden. It started its broadcast on April 27, 2009 and ended December 31, 2012 due to economic reasons.

The Castle Plan was a Turkish government plan to widen the range of means used to fight the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK).
