Kendra Stahle Boggess is an American academic administrator serving as the twelfth president of Concord University since 2014.
Boggess earned an A.A. from St. Petersburg Junior College. [2] She completed a B.S. in business education from the University of Florida. [2] She received a M.S. (1988) in vocational technical education and a Ph.D. (1997) in business education from Virginia Tech. [2] Her dissertation was titled,Ethical Issues in Business Communication:A Comparative Study of Perceptions among Japanese and US Students. [3] B. June Schmidt was her doctoral advisor. [3]
Boggess joined the faculty at Concord University in 1984 where she taught undergraduate business communications,software applications,and human resource management in the division of business. [4] She served as the division chair from 1996 to 2009 and associate dean from 2009 to 2011. [4] In August 2011,Boggess was promoted to interim vice president and academic dean. [4] She served as the interim president for just over a year before being appointed as the twelfth president on April 22,2014. [4] [5]

Concord University is a public university in Athens,West Virginia. It was founded on February 28,1872,when the West Virginia Legislature passed "an Act to locate a Branch State Normal School,in the town of Concord Church,in the County of Mercer". This normal school was founded by veterans of both the Union and the Confederacy,Concord is named for the ideal of "harmony and sweet fellowship".

Daniel S. Papp is an American scholar of international affairs and policy. Papp served in a variety of professorial and administrative roles in the University System of Georgia (USG). From 2006 to 2016,Papp served as President of Kennesaw State University (KSU),the third-largest university in the State of Georgia. During Papp's tenure,the University's enrollment increased by approximately seventy-five percent,growing from 19,854 to 33,252 undergraduate and graduate students. Under Papp,the University also significantly increased its research and graduate profile,adding a number of new academic programs and becoming classified as a Doctoral University with Moderate Research Activity. In Fall 2015,a University employee alleged the University's director of food services was engaged in fiscal misconduct,leading to an investigation by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and USG. Investigations uncovered evidence the University's business office and external foundation were not consistently following USG financial procedures and mandatory reporting of financial misconduct policy. Termination of several high-ranking University employees followed. The investigation also contended the University's external foundation prematurely disbursed approximately $577,000 Papp earned in deferred compensation. While there was no evidence Papp approved or was aware of improprieties,on May 10,2016,Papp announced his retirement.

Morton served in that role until January 2021,when she departed for Arizona State University and Ronald D. Fricker—senior associate dean and professor in the Department of Statistics—was named interim dean of the College. In February 2022,Kevin T. Pitts was named the third official dean of the College of Science.
The College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences at Virginia Tech comprises two schools,12 departments,and three ROTC programs. The college also has connections to research facilities and local community service organizations through which students can earn experience in major related fields and has many study abroad programs. John Z. Kiss is an American biologist known for his work on the gravitational and space biology of plants. Kiss is senior vice president for academic affairs and provost at the Florida Institute of Technology. He has also served as dean of the Graduate School at the University of Mississippi. and distinguished professor and chair of the botany department at Miami University. He has worked with NASA since 1987 and served as principal investigator on eight spaceflight experiments on the Space Shuttle,the former Russian space station Mir,and on the International Space Station. His research focuses on the sensory physiology of plants in space. He received the NASA Outstanding Public Leadership Medal in 2014. In 2021,Asteroid Kiss 8267 was named in his honor,a recognition that coincided with his receipt of the 2021 COSPAR International Cooperation Medal. His international collaboration on a spaceflight project with NASA and the European Space Agency has led to the discovery of novel sensory mechanisms in plants.
