Teddy Pierre-Marie Riner is a French judoka. He has won eleven World Championships gold medals, the first and only judoka to do so, and five Olympic gold medals. He has also won five gold medals at the European Championships. Riner was a member of the Levallois Sporting Club before joining Paris Saint-Germain in August 2017.
Albania first participated at the Summer Olympic Games in 1972. After that, Albania missed the next four games, three of them for political reasons due to the 1980 Summer Olympics boycott, 1984 Summer Olympics boycott and 1988 boycotts, but returned for the Barcelona 1992 Summer Olympics. They have appeared in all games since then. They made their Winter Olympic Games debut in 2006. Albania normally competes in events that include swimming, athletics, weightlifting, shooting, and wrestling. They have been represented by the Albanian National Olympic Committee since 1972.
Naomi Alejandra Soazo Boccardo is a visually impaired Venezuelan judoka. She competed in a number of international events, such as the International Blind Sports Federation World Championships, but is best known for being the only Venezuelan, in any sport, to have won a gold medal at the Paralympic Games.
Masashi Ebinuma is a Japanese judoka. Ebinuma is a triple world champion, having won in 2011, 2013 and 2014. A dominant force in the half-lightweight division, he was ranked first in the world for three years. He is regarded as an ultimate stylist of seoi nage. He is also known for being a quadruple All-Japan national champion.
El Salvador first competed in the Paralympic Games at the 2000 Summer Paralympics in Sydney, Australia. It has participated in the Summer Paralympic Games every four years since that time. El Salvador has never taken part in the Winter Paralympics, and until Tokyo 2020, no Salvadorian had won a Paralympic medal. In 2021, Herbert Aceituno became the first athlete to win a medal, earning bronze in powerlifting at the 59 kg category.
Japan competed at the 1968 Summer Paralympics in Tel Aviv, Israel from November 4 to 13, 1968. The team finished sixteenth of the twenty-eight competing nations in the medal table and won a total of twelve medals; two gold, two silver and eight bronze. Forty-eight Japanese athletes took part in the Games; forty-one men and seven women.
Great Britain competed at the 2012 Summer Paralympics in London, United Kingdom, from 29 August to 9 September 2012 as the host nation. A total of 288 athletes were selected to compete along with 13 other team members such as sighted guides. The country finished third in the medals table, behind China and Russia, winning 120 medals in total; 34 gold, 43 silver and 43 bronze. Multiple medallists included cyclist Sarah Storey and wheelchair athlete David Weir, who won four gold medals each, and swimmer Stephanie Millward who won a total of five medals. Storey also became the British athlete with the most overall medals, 22, and equal-most gold medals, 11, in Paralympic Games history.
Darren Gardiner is an Australian Paralympic powerlifter. He has won two Paralympic silver medals in the Men's Over 100 kg powerlifting event. He did not medal at the 2012 Games.

He is a silver 2015 World Wrestling Championships medalist in the 65 kg, gold medalist of 2018 Bishkek, 2 times silver medalist and 2 bronze medalist of Asian Wrestling Championships.
Péter Bácsi is an amateur Hungarian Greco-Roman wrestler, who competes in the middleweight category. Two-time world champion, he is also a three-time Olympian, and a four-time medalist in his division at the European Championships.
José Daniel Díaz Robertti is an amateur Venezuelan freestyle wrestler, who competed in the men's light heavyweight category before moving up to the heavyweight category. He won a bronze medal in the light heavyweight division at the 2011 Pan American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico.
Christopher Peter Hunt Skelley is a British Paralympic judoka who competes in the visually impaired under 100 kg category. In 2016 it was announced that he has been selected to represent Great Britain at the 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio. In 2021 Chris became Paralympic champion after winning Gold in the -100 kg category in the Tokyo Paralympics.

Yangaliny Jiménez Domínguez is a Cuban Paralympic judoka. He represented Cuba at the 2012 Summer Paralympics in London, United Kingdom and at the 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He won two medals: the bronze medal in the men's +100 kg event in 2012 and the bronze medal in the men's +100 kg event in 2016.
Mohammad Reza Geraei, is an Iranian Greco-Roman wrestler. At the 2020 Summer Olympics held in Tokyo, Japan, he won the gold medal in the men's 67 kg event. In 2018, he won one of the bronze medals in the men's 67 kg event at the Asian Games held in Jakarta, Indonesia.
