Kerry Pettingill (born September 13,1958) is a retired American police officer in the state of Oklahoma. Pettingill joined the Oklahoma Highway Patrol and served as its 25th Chief from early 2011 until late 2013 when he retired during the term of Governor of Oklahoma Mary Fallin. Prior to his service as Chief,Pettingill served as the Director of the Oklahoma Office of Homeland Security under Governor Brad Henry from 2004 to 2011.
Kerry Pettingill earned his Bachelor of Science from Southern Nazarene University and joined the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) in 1982. During his time OHP,Pettingill served as a bomb technician,hazardous materials technician,and in tactical operations officer. He served as commander of the OHP Bomb Squad,OHP Tactical Operations Team,and as liaison to the Federal Bureau of Investigation's Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF). In his position as OHP's SWAT commander,Pettingill was one of the first to respond to the Oklahoma City bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in downtown Oklahoma City on April 19,1995. For his efforts in the bombing response,Governor Frank Keating appointed Pettingill as Deputy Director of Homeland Security in 2002. Governor Brad Henry promoted Pettingill to Director in 2004. [1] As the State's Homeland Security Director,Kerry oversaw the Oklahoma Office of Homeland Security (OKOHS) in its mission to protect the State from acts of terrorism and overseeing State personnel assigned to the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force.
On January 6,2011,Oklahoma Secretary of Safety and Security Michael C. Thompson (who was dual-hatted as Commissioner of the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety) announced that he had selected Pettingill to succeed outgoing Van M. Guillotte as Chief of the Highway Patrol. His appointment became effective February 1,2011. [2] In October 2013,Pettingfill announced his intention to retire from OHP. [3] DPS Assistant Commissioner Ricky Adams was selected by Secretary Thompson to succeed him.

He was a Lieutenant with the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS),where he was the Recruit School Coordinator and Defensive Tactics Coordinator for the Training Academy. He retired from the Texas D.P.S. at the end of August,2008. He is also president of the Austin Filipino American Association and the Executive Director of the Texas Kali Association.
Captain Kevin Ward,OHP is an American police officer and politician from the U.S. state of Oklahoma. Ward previously served as the Oklahoma Secretary of Safety and Security,having been appointed by Governor of Oklahoma Brad Henry in 2004 and serving until 2011. Ward served concurrently as Oklahoma Commissioner of Public Safety.

Ricky G. Adams is a retired American police officer and retired soldier with the Army National Guard from the state of Oklahoma. Adams served as the Director of the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation,being appointment to the post by OSBI Commission effective July 1,2018. OSBI Director Ricky Adams has been a law enforcement professional for over 42 years. He began his career at the municipal level with the Elk City and Edmond Police Departments from 1980-1986,before joining the ranks of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. Adams was the honor graduate of the 42nd OHP Academy in 1986. He then continued a 32-year career,serving at every level within the Highway Patrol to include 31 months as the Assistant Commissioner for the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety. He was selected as the 26th Chief of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol in 2013 and served Oklahoma in that position until his subsequent appointment as Deputy Director for the OSBI in February 2018. He has commanded patrol operations during many large-scale manhunts and Oklahoma’s natural disasters and was one of the first responders to the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing. He has received numerous law enforcement awards for his criminal interdiction efforts. In 2015,he was honored by induction into the Elk City Oklahoma Leadership Hall of Fame.
