Kevin Gage (born May 26, 1959) [1] is an American character actor known for his role in the crime film Heat (1995), in which he portrayed the murderous rogue criminal Waingro. Other roles of his have included United States Navy SEALs instructor Max Pyro in the military film G.I. Jane (1997), and Detective Mike Gage in the police thriller Strangeland (1998).
Gage was married to late actress Kelly Preston from 1985 to 1987. [2]
On July 30, 2003, Gage was sentenced to 41 months in federal prison, starting September 29, 2003, for cultivating marijuana, despite owning a California-issued license for medicinal marijuana. [3] Gage stated that he cultivated medicinal cannabis to help him cope with chronic pain and stress from injuries suffered in a 1993 car crash, [4] as well as for a sister with cancer and brother with multiple sclerosis. [5] He was released on March 17, 2006. [6]
Gage married Shannon Perris-Knight in 2006; their son was born in January 2007. Perris-Knight was diagnosed with inoperable brain cancer in 2008 and died in 2014. [7]

Blow is a 2001 American biographical crime drama film directed by Ted Demme, about an American cocaine kingpin and his international network. David McKenna and Nick Cassavetes adapted Bruce Porter's 1993 book Blow: How a Small Town Boy Made $100 Million with the Medellín Cocaine Cartel and Lost It All for the screenplay. It is based on the real-life stories of U.S. drug trafficker George Jung and his connections including narcotics kings Pablo Escobar and Carlos Lehder Rivas, and the Medellín Cartel.

Edward "Ed" Rosenthal is an American horticulturist, author, publisher, and Cannabis grower known for his advocacy for the legalization of marijuana use. He served as a columnist for High Times Magazine during the 1980s and 1990s. He was arrested in 2002 for cultivation of cannabis by federal authorities, who do not recognize the authority of states to regulate the use of medical marijuana. He was convicted in federal court, but the conviction was overturned on appeal. Rosenthal was subsequently convicted again, but was not re-sentenced, since his original sentence had been completed.

John Angelo Gotti is an American former mobster who was the acting boss of the Gambino crime family from 1991 to 1999. He became acting boss when the boss of the family, his father John Gotti, was sent to prison. The younger Gotti was imprisoned for racketeering in 1999, and between 2004 and 2009 he was a defendant in four racketeering trials, each of which ended in a mistrial. Casino Jack is a 2010 biographical crime drama directed by George Hickenlooper and starring Kevin Spacey. Bob Ney, and nine other lobbyists and congressional staffers. Abramoff was convicted of fraud, conspiracy, and tax evasion in 2006, and of trading expensive gifts, meals and vacations for political favors. Abramoff served three and a half years of a six-year sentence in federal prison, and was then assigned to a halfway house. He was released on December 3, 2010.
