Kevin Lawrence is an American violinist and pedagogue. He currently serves as a Professor of Violin and String Chair at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. Lawrence was the founding Artistic Director of the Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival, and now serves as the Festival's Artistic Director Emeritus. [1]
Lawrence received his music education at The Juilliard School, studying violin with Ivan Galamian and Margaret Pardee, and chamber music with Felix Galimir. He continued his chamber music study at the Meadowmount School of Music under Josef Gingold.
Lawrence was appointed to the Meadowmount faculty by Ivan Galamian in 1980, and continued to teach there each summer through 1993. [1] He became the Dean of the Killington Music Festival in 1994 and then Artistic Director in 1997, remaining until 2004. [2] [3]
Lawrence has taught as a Violin Professor at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts since 1990. [4] He was awarded the school's Excellence in Teaching award in 2007. [5]
Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival
In 2004, Lawrence founded the Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival, near Lake Champlain and Burlington, Vermont, [6] serving as Artistic Director until 2021. [7] The month-long festival is currently hosted at Saint Michael's College in Colchester, Vermont. [8]

Lewis Kaplan is an American violinist, and pedagogue. He is a senior professor in violin and chamber music at the Juilliard School and has been on the faculty at Mannes School of Music since 1987, both located in New York City.
Fredell Lack was an American violinist. Noted as a concert soloist, recording artist, chamber musician, and teacher, she was the C. W. Moores Distinguished Professor of Violin at the Moores School of Music at the University of Houston in Houston, Texas.
Ik-Hwan Bae was a South Korean-born American concert violinist. A native of Seoul, he made his professional debut with the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra at the age of 12. He attended New York City's prestigious High School of Performing Arts, graduating in 1975. While there, Bae also studied with Ivan Galamian at Juilliard's Pre-School. He went on to graduate from Juilliard four years later. His performances in recitals and concerto concerts took him to most of the major cities in Europe, Asia and the United States.
The Meadowmount School of Music, founded in 1944 by Ivan Galamian, is a 7-week summer school in the town of Lewis in Upstate New York for young violinists, cellists, violists, and pianists training for professional music careers. The school offers instruction in chamber music and solo performance techniques, with students practicing four to five hours daily. The curriculum includes masterclasses, studio classes, guest artist workshops, Alexander Technique, and yoga. The campus facilities include a dining hall, student lounge, infirmary, practice cabins, faculty studios, a concert hall, performance spaces, recreation areas for tennis, basketball, soccer, and table tennis, as well as student dormitories. Field trips, hiking, and off-campus events are also organized. Concerts are held three times a week and feature students, faculty, and/or guest artists. Master classes are held daily.
Adrian Anantawan is a Canadian violinist. Anantawan, who began studying violin at age nine, has performed with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra and at the White House. He is an alumnus of the Etobicoke School of the Arts in Canada, the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, Yale University and the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Growing up in the neighbourhood of Clarkson, in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, he attended St. Christopher's Elementary School, and is a member of the St. Christopher's Church Parish. He is currently a member of the Anne-Sophie Mutter Foundation and is the Chair of Music at Milton Academy and artistic director of Shelter Music Boston.
Lynn Chang, born 1953, is a Chinese-American violinist known for his work as both a soloist and a chamber musician.
Andor John Toth was an American classical violinist, conductor and educator with a musical career spanning over six decades. Toth played his violin on the World War II battlefields of Aachen, Germany; performed with the NBC Symphony Orchestra under Arturo Toscanini in 1943 at age 18; and formed several chamber music ensembles, including the Oberlin String Quartet, the New Hungarian Quartet, and the Stanford String Quartet. For 15 years he was the violinist in the Alma Trio. Toth conducted orchestras in Cleveland, Denver and Houston. In 1969, he was the founding concertmaster of the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra under Neville Marriner. Toth taught at five important colleges and universities, and recorded for Vox, Decca Records and Eclectra Records.

Valerie Bobbett Gardner is an American violinist, pedagogue, and author.
William (Bill) Barbini is an American violinist. He took his diploma from Juilliard School in 1970, studying with Ivan Galamian among others. He thereafter became one of the youngest members selected to the New York Philharmonic violin section. During his tenure with the NY Philharmonic, Barbini also performed as principal violinist with the Gramercy String Quartet. With Barbini as principal, the Gramercy was commissioned by Pierre Boulez for a number of pre-concert performances at Avery Fisher Hall. While in New York, Barbini also served as concertmaster for the Joffrey Ballet and soloist with the Festival Orchestra at the Norwalk Performing Arts Festival.
