Kevin McElvanna is an Irish Gaelic footballer from the small club of Madden south-west of Armagh city. He played for Armagh GAA from 2001 to 2006 as a defender. [1]

Football career

McElvanna attended Queen's University Belfast. He won a Sigerson Cup in 2000 [2] and received a Full Blue award for his football achievements. [3] He also captained Armagh's U21 team to an Ulster Under-21 Football Championship. McElvanna was selected for the Armagh senior panel in 2001. In his six years as a panel member, he won four Ulster Senior Football Championship medals and one All-Ireland Senior Football Championship medal. Although he wasn't always in the Armagh first team, [4] McElvanna played an important role in games such as the 2004 Ulster semi-final. [5]

Tony Scullion

Tony "The Tiger" Scullion is a former dual player of Gaelic games who played Gaelic football and hurling with Derry in the 1980s and 1990s. He is chiefly known as a footballer and was part of Derry's 1993 All-Ireland Championship winning side, also winning Ulster Senior Football Championships in 1987 and 1993. With Derry footballers he usually played in the full-back line and is regarded as one of the best full-backs of his generation. Scullion played club football and hurling with St Colm's GAC Ballinascreen.

Joe Kernan is a former Irish sportsperson who played Gaelic football for his local club Crossmaglen Rangers and at senior level for the Armagh county team. in the 1970s and 1980s. Awarded All Stars in 1977 and 1982, he is the former manager of Armagh's senior football team, and led them to the 2002 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship title, their first before retiring in July 2007 after the team lost to Derry. He currently manages Ulster and the Irish International Rules team. A biography of his story was published in 2011 called 'Joe Kernan:Without a Shadow of Doubt'.

Gerard "Ger" Houlahan is an Irish retired Gaelic footballer who played for Armagh from 1984 to 2000. He won two Ulster Senior Football Championship medals with the county and also won an All Star award.

Seán Marty Lockhart (born Seán Martin Lockhart; 22 August 1976) is an Irish dual player of Gaelic games who plays Gaelic football for the Derry county team. He has won an Ulster Senior Football Championship and three National League titles with the county, as well an All-Ireland Under 21 Championship. He also won an All Star for his performances in the 1998 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship. He plays club football for St Mary's Banagher. As a dual player, Lockhart also plays hurling for Banagher, and has in the past also hurled for Derry.

Damian Cassidy is a former Gaelic football manager and former player for the Derry county team in the 1980s and 1990s, who was part of the county's 1993 All-Ireland Championship winning side, starting at left half forward. He also won two Ulster Senior Championship medals, three National League titles, and a range of under-age inter-county medals with the county. Cassidy played his club football for Bellaghy Wolfe Tones and won five Derry Championships and the 1994 Ulster Senior Club Football Championships with the club. For both club and county he usually played as a forward. Cassidy was also a talented hurler.

Wolfe Tone Gaelic Athletic Club is a GAA club in County Armagh, Northern Ireland. It is based in the townland of Derrymacash, on the southern shore of Lough Neagh, close to Lurgan. It is part of Armagh GAA and plays at Raparee Park (Irish: Páirc na Ropairí. The club takes its name from the republican leader of the 1798 revolution, Wolfe Tone.

John McKnight was a Northern Irish Gaelic footballer. His league and championship career with the Armagh senior team lasted seven seasons from 1953 to 1959.
