Khadim Kane (born May 17, 2005) is a footballer who plays for Forge FC in the Canadian Premier League. Born in Senegal, Kane currently represents Canada at youth level.
Kane was born in Senegal, before moving to St. Laurent, Quebec, Canada. [1] He played youth soccer with FSS Salabery, later joining the CF Montreal Academy. [2]
In 2022, he played with CF Montréal U23 in the Première ligue de soccer du Québec. [1]
In 2023, he signed a two-year contract with Canadian Premier League club Forge FC, at the age of seventeen. [3] [2] His contract was later designated as an Exceptional Young Talent contract, under the CPL roster regulations. [4] He also spent some time on loan with Sigma, who served as Forge's affiliate club. [5] He made his professional debut for Forge on May 5, 2023, coming on as a substitute against York United FC. [6] On June 20, he earned his first start, in a match against Vancouver FC. [7] In October of the same year, he was a part of the Forge squad that won their fourth league title, following a 2–1 victory over Cavalry FC in the play-off final. [8] [9]
In June 2024, Kane received his first call up to the Canadian U20 side for a camp in Chile. [10] In July 2024, he was named to the team for the 2024 CONCACAF U-20 Championship. [11]
He is the younger brother of fellow professional player Mamadou Kane. [3]

The 2023 Canadian Premier League season was the fifth season of the Canadian Premier League, the top level of Canadian soccer. The CPL Shield was won by Cavalry FC who finished first in the regular season by a 13 point margin. In the CPL final, Forge FC defeated Cavalry FC 2–1 in Hamilton to capture the North Star Cup. In doing so, Forge became league champions for the fourth time in five seasons. Both title winning clubs qualified for the newly expanded 2024 CONCACAF Champions Cup.
The 2023 Forge FC season was the fifth season in the history of Forge FC and the club's fifth season in the Canadian Premier League (CPL), the top flight in Canadian soccer. Forge were the defending CPL champions, having defeated Atlético Ottawa in the 2022 Canadian Premier League final. The club was managed by Bobby Smyrniotis in his fifth season as head coach and first season as sporting director. This was Forge FC's first season without any matches in international competitions after having failed to qualify for the 2023 CONCACAF Champions League.
