Khalfan bin Saeed bin Mubarak al-Shueili is the Omani Minister of Housing and Urban Planning. He was appointed as minister on 18 August 2020. [1] [2]
Al-Shueili holds a Bachelor's degree in Architecture and a Master's degree in Civil Engineering from Drexel University,and a PhD from the University of Glasgow. [3] [4]
From 2011 to 2021,Al-Shueili was General Manager of Operations at Oman Airport Management Company. [3] [5]
In 2018,he served as the CEO of Oman Aviation Services. [3] [5] [6]
Since 18 August 2021,Al-Shueili has been Minister of Housing and Urban Planning. [1] [2]

The Qatar diplomatic crisis was a high-profile incident involving the deterioration of ties between Qatar and the Arab League between 2017 and 2021. It began when Saudi Arabia,the United Arab Emirates,Bahrain,and Egypt severed their bilateral relations with Qatar and subsequently banned Qatar-registered aircraft and Qatari ships from utilizing their sovereign territory by air,land,and sea;this involved the Saudis' closure of Qatar's only land crossing,initiating a de facto blockade of the country.
