Khar (Nepali : खार) is a village development committee (VDC) of Darchula District in the Mahakali Zone of Far-Western Development Region, Nepal. Geographically khar is located 29.79 N and 80.64 E, its nearest border to the district headquarters is Dallekh which is 10- 12 kilometer north east to the Darchula. The Khar VDC is surrounded by Sipti and Dhuligada VDC to the East and South, Katai to the West, and Eyarkot to the North. According to national census 2011 khar VDC has total population 4,272 (2,056 male and 2,216 female) residing 698 households.

Nepali language Indo-Aryan (Pahari) and official language of Nepal

Nepali, known by the endonym Khas Kura also known as Gorkhali or Parbatiya, is an Indo-Aryan language of the sub-branch of Eastern Pahari. It is the official language of Nepal and one of the official status gained language of India. It is spoken mainly in Nepal and by about a quarter of the population in Bhutan. In India, Nepali is listed in the Eighth Schedule to the Constitution as an Indian language, with official status in the state of Sikkim, and spoken in Northeast Indian states such as Assam and in West Bengal's Darjeeling district. It is also spoken in Burma and by the Nepali diaspora worldwide. Nepali developed in proximity to a number of Indo-Aryan languages, most notably the other Pahari languages and Maithili, and shows Sanskrit influence. However, owing to Nepal's location, it has also been influenced by Tibeto-Burman languages. Nepali is mainly differentiated from Central Pahari, both in grammar and vocabulary, by Tibeto-Burman idioms owing to close contact with this language group.

Mahakali Zone Zone in Nepal

Mahakali is one of the fourteen zones located in the Far-Western Development Region of Nepal, covering an area of 6,205 km2 in the most western part of the country. It stretches along Nepal's far western border with India, marked by the Kali River or Mahakali River, which originates from Limpiyadhura, a disputed location for whether or not the Tri-country border point of Nepal and India with China.

Bajura District, a part of Province No. 7, is one of the seventy-seven districts of Nepal. The district, with Martadi as its district headquarters, covers an area of 2,188 km² and had a population of 108,781 in 2001 and 134,912 in 2011. Bajura district has a multi ethnic composition with Chhetri, Kami, Thakuri, Brahman, Damai, SarkI and Sanyashi. The common language is Nepali (96%) followed by Bhote Sherpa (0.46%) and Tamang (0.42%). Although accessibility to Bajura is very poor, this is improving rapidly. The Government strategy is mainly focused on the connection of VDC headquarters with all-weather motor able roads to SRN or District headquarters. Moreover, the DDC body of Bajura district has given higher priority on rural roads.

Each district had several VDCs, similar to municipalities but with greater public-government interaction and administration. There were 3,157 village development committees in Nepal. Each VDC was further divided into several wards depending on the population of the district; the average being nine wards.

Dilasaini Gaunpalika in Province No. 7, Nepal

Dilasaini is a former village development committee that is now a Rural Municipality in Baitadi District in Province No. 7 of western Nepal. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 4,828 and had 849 houses in the village. There is one plus two, two high schools and many primary schools in the VDC. This VDC is bordered by Mathairaj, Gokuleshwor, Rudreswor and Rim VDC and Darchula district in the northwest. Ths VDC is named after a local deity. The temple of this devi is located in Dhamigaun which is one of the wards of the VDC. This temple is famous in far-western Nepal for the sacrifice of huge number of bull buffaloes on occasion of Dashain.

Among them Letang Bazaar is most developed and Rajarani has religious and tourism importance being old village in Letang. This Letang Municipality is one of the developed municipality of Morang district with various utilities including drinking water, electricity, communication etc. District-famous schools and campus including Letang Campus, Shanti Bhagawati School Shree Shiksha Vikash M. V. (Kheruwa), Laxmi School, Galaxy Academy, Green Valley School, Minaruwa School, Letang Secondary Boarding School, Bal Niketan School, Pathibhara Boarding School lies here. The town Letang Bazaar is also a part of municipality. Many developmental efforts are active in this area. There is also uneven population distribution in this VDC. Many national politicians, players and film actors such as Babu Bogati, Praween Khatiwada, Ram Bhujel are also from this village. Far more, yearly Rajarani Festival (Mohatshob) is also celebrated by various organizations for its popularity and fame. There is the eastern regional training academy of Nepal Army and also the eastern regional training centre of Agricultural Development Bank, though the bank does not exist nearby.

Dallekh is a small village of Khar village Development committee of Darchula Nepal. According to national census report 2011 the population of Dallekh is nearly 800, resides in 85 households. Dallekh is a nearest border village of Khar VDC to the district headquarters, which is 10–12 km northeast from Darchula Khalanga.

Chaurigau चौरीगाउँ is a small village of Khar VDC of Darchula District of Mahakali zone Nepal. Chaurigau commonly known as Chaukhutte shares border with Dallekh village in the Western and Kaknadi, Godhani, and Ubdhaar in the Eastern, Southern and Northern respectively.

Madhyabindu Municipality in Lumbini, Nepal

Madhyabindu is a municipality of Nawalparasi District in Lumbini Zone of Southern Nepal. The municipality was established on 19 September 2015 by merging the existing Tamasariya, Narayani and Kolhuwa Village development committees (VDCs). The center of the municipality is established in the former Tamasariya VDC of Chormara Bazaar. After merging the three VDCs population it had a total population of 28,224 according to 2011 Nepal census.
