Khoi Vinh (born December 3, 1971) is a graphic designer, blogger, and former Design Director for The New York Times , [1] where he worked from January 2006 until July 2010. [2] Fast Company named Vinh one of "The 50 Most Influential Designers in America" in September 2011. [3]
He was born in 1971 in Saigon, South Vietnam, and immigrated to the United States at the age of three and a half with his family. [4] He grew up in Gaithersburg, Maryland. He attended Otis College of Art and Design, graduating with a major in Graphic Design in 1993. In 1998, he moved to New York City and began designing almost exclusively for the web and interactive media. [5]
In 2001, he co-founded a design studio, Behavior, where he worked until December 2005, when he became the design director for NYTimes.com in 2006. [6] In 2011, he and Scott Ostler founded Lascaux Co., a New York City startup. In November 2011, the company launched Mixel, an iPad app that allows users to create "art". In 2013, he sold Mixel to Etsy and joined their team. [7]
In 2015 Vinh joined Adobe Inc. as a principal designer. [8] He is currently senior director of product design with the company. [9]

Adobe Illustrator is a vector graphics editor and design program developed and marketed by Adobe Inc. Originally designed for the Apple Macintosh, development of Adobe Illustrator began in 1985. Along with Creative Cloud, Illustrator CC was released. The latest version, Illustrator 2023, was released on October 18, 2022, and is the 27th generation in the product line. Adobe Illustrator was reviewed as the best vector graphics editing program in 2021 by PC Magazine.

Susan Kare is an American artist and graphic designer best known for her interface elements and typeface contributions to the first Apple Macintosh from 1983 to 1986. She was employee #10 and Creative Director at NeXT, the company formed by Steve Jobs after he left Apple in 1985. She was a design consultant for Microsoft, IBM, Sony Pictures, and Facebook, Pinterest and she is now an employee of Niantic Labs. As an early pioneer of pixel art and of the graphical computer interface, she has been celebrated as one of the most significant technologists of the modern world.

Rudy VanderLans is a Dutch graphic designer, photographer, and the co-founder of Emigre Fonts with his wife Zuzana Licko. Emigre Fonts is an independent type foundry in Berkeley, CA. He was also the art director and editor of Emigre magazine, the legendary journal devoted to visual communications from 1984 to 2005. Since arriving in California in 1981, he has been photographing his adoptive Golden State as an ongoing side project. He has authored a total of 11 photo books on the topic, and staged two solo exhibits at Gallery 16 in San Francisco.
Tobias Frere-Jones is an American type designer who works in New York City. He operates the company Frere-Jones Type and teaches typeface design at the Yale School of Art MFA program.
Etsy, Inc. is an American e-commerce company focused on handmade or vintage items and craft supplies. These items fall under a wide range of categories, including jewelry, bags, clothing, home décor and furniture, toys, art, as well as craft supplies and tools. Items described as vintage must be at least 20 years old. The site follows in the tradition of open craft fairs, giving sellers personal storefronts where they list their goods for a fee of US$0.20 per item. Beginning in 2013, Etsy allowed sellers to sell mass manufactured items.

Nicholas Felton is an infographic designer. He is the author of Personal Annual Reports that weave measurements into a tapestry of graphs, maps and statistics to reflect the year's activities. He is the co-founder of Daytum.com, and was a member of the product design team at Facebook. His work has been profiled in publications including the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Wired and Good Magazine and has been recognized as one of the 50 most influential designers in America by Fast Company. He is credited for influencing the design of Facebook's timeline. Nicholas is currently a Human Interface designer at Apple.
Barbara "Bobbie" Stauffacher Solomon is an American landscape architect and graphic designer. Barbara Stauffacher Solomon is best known for her large-scale interior ‘supergraphics’ and exterior signage at Sea Ranch, a private estate with a utopian vision in Sonoma County, California.
Virgil Abloh was an American fashion designer and entrepreneur. One of the most influential and respected fashion designers of his generation, he began his own line of luxury streetwear clothing, Pyrex Vision, in 2012, and became the chief executive officer of the Milan-based label Off-White, a fashion house he founded in 2013. Abloh was also the artistic director of Louis Vuitton's menswear collection beginning in 2018, and was given increased creative responsibilities across the LVMH brand in early 2021.
