Khondkar Misbah-ul-Azim NPP, ndu, afwc, psc is a two star Admiral of Bangladesh Navy [1] currently serving as ambassador (Navy) under Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Prior that he was Commander Chittagong Naval Area (COMCHIT) and Dhaka Naval Area (COMDHAKA). [2] [3]
Azim joined Bangladesh Navy on 1 January 1987 and received his commission with distinction in the Executive Branch. He underwent basic naval officer's training in Royal Malaysian Navy.
Azim, in his naval career, commanded BNS SHAH AMANAT, BNS SAIKAT, BNS NIRBHOY, BNS S R AMIN, and BN Frigate BNS UMAR FAROOQ (F-16). He served as Director at Directorate of Naval Operations, NHQ Dhaka in 2014-15. [4] He received National Integrity Award 2020-2021 from Bangladesh Navy.
Rear Admiral Khondkar Misbah-ul-Azim is married to Nurtaz Azim and was blessed with two daughters Nuzabah and Mehtaz. [5]

Mosharraf Hossain Khan was a Bangladesh Navy admiral who served as the chief of the Bangladesh Navy from 7 November 1973 to 3 November 1979. After the Bangladesh war of Independence, Admiral Khan was appointed as the 1st chief of the naval staff of the Bangladesh Navy in November 1973 by the Prime Minister Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
