The Bangladesh Navy is the naval warfare branch of the Bangladesh Armed Forces, responsible for the defence of Bangladesh's 118,813 square kilometres (45,874 sq mi) of maritime territorial area, and the security of sea ports and exclusive economic zones of Bangladesh. Bangladesh Navy is a front line disaster management force in Bangladesh. It is a key regional player in counter terrorism efforts, and engages in global peacekeeping with the United Nations.

Mohammad Nizamuddin Ahmed was an admiral in the Bangladesh Navy and the former Chief of Naval Staff. He previously served as the Director of Coast Guard Operations and commander of Chittagong Naval Command (COMCHIT). He also served in Naval Headquarters as Director of Personnel Services and Secretary to the Chief of Naval Staff. Inter Service Public Relations Directorate (ISPR) announced Ahmed's nomination to succeed Admiral Farid Habib. Ahmed began serving as the 15th Chief of Naval Staff on 27 January 2016.
Mohammad Makbul Hossain, NBP, OSP, BCGMS, ndu, psc was a rear admiral of Bangladesh Navy. He was the Assistant Chief of Naval Staff (Operation). He also served as director general of Bangladesh Coast Guard.
Sheikh Pasha Habib Uddin OSP, SGP, BAMS, afwc, psc is a retired two-star rank Bangladesh Army officer whose last appointment was director general of the Bangladesh Institute of International and Strategic Studies (BIISS). Prior to join BIISS, he was senior directing staff at the National Defense College. Earlier, he was commandant, Bangladesh Ordnance Factories (BOF) and the director general of Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party. He also served as the chairman of Ansar-VDP Unnayan Bank.
Sheikh Muhammad Abul Kalam Azad is a two star admiral of Bangladesh and incumbent high commissioner of Bangladesh to Maldives. He is former Commander of Bangladesh Navy Fleet. Earlier he held a range of salient appointments, namely Chairman of Chittagong Port Authority, Chairman of Mongla port Authority, Director of Naval Intelligence & Naval Administrative Authority Dhaka.

Prior to join here, he was Commander of Chattogram Naval Area (COMCHIT). Prior to assumption of the Commander Chattogram Naval Area on 4 February 2020, he served as Chairman of Mongla Port Authority.

Prior to join here he was Chairman of Payra Port Authority. Before that, he was serving as the Director of Submarine at the Navy Headquarters. He also served as Director of Naval Intelligence and commanded BNS Haji Mohshin while he was Commodore.
Rear Admiral Mir Ershad Ali, OSP, NPP, ndc, psc, BN is a two-star admiral in Bangladesh Navy. He is the incumbent director general of the Bangladesh Coast Guard. Prior to this appointment, he served as chairman of Mongla Port Authority and before that commander of Bangladesh Navy Fleet. He also served as director of naval intelligence (DNI) at Naval Headquarters. He elevated to the rear admiral rank from commodore on 25 January 2022.

Before that, he was Assistant Chief of Naval Staff (Personnel). He also served as commander, Chattogram Naval Area. Prior to that, he was assistant chief of naval saff (logistics). He also served as director of submarine, Naval Headquarters, Dhaka. He was chairman of Payra Port Authority until 15 March 2022 before he promoted to rear admiral.
S M Moniruzzaman OSP, ndc, ncc, psc is a two star Admiral of Bangladesh Navy and the incumbent Commander of Bangladesh Navy Fleet (COMBAN). Prior joining here, he had been serving as the managing director of Bangladesh Shipping Corporation.
