Majority of the residents are Hindu, with Jats being the dominant social group. There is a temple of Swami Nityanand Maharaj and an old Shiva temple. [2]

Jasaur Kheri is a large village located, near Jhajjar city in Jhajjar District of Indian state of Haryana. It is located on Jhajjar-Bahadurgarh-Sonipat road; it is about 15 kilometres (9 mi) from nearest city Bahadurgarh and about 36 km from Jhajjar city, the district headquarter.↵The village is famous for its ancient Mata Chandraghanta Devi temple. Bajrang Punia is an Indian freestyle wrestler, who competes in the 65-kg weight category. At the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Punia won a bronze medal by defeating Kazakhstan's Daulet Niyazbekov with a 8–0 margin. Punia is the only Indian wrestler to win 4 medals at the World Wrestling Championships. He is protesting at Delhi Jantar Mantar against BJP MP Brij Bhushan Singh.

Naib Subedar Deepak Punia, is an Indian freestyle wrestler and Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) in the Indian Army who won a silver medal at the 2019 World Wrestling Championships in the freestyle 86 kg category and secured a place in the 2020 Summer Olympics. He was born in the Jhajjar district of Haryana. He is the reigning Commonwealth champion in his weight category. He bagged a gold medal at the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games after beating Pakistan's Muhammad Inam in the 86kg final bout.
