Kids Run Free is a British charity organization based in Warwickshire founded by Martine Verweij and Catherine O'Carroll in December of 2010.
Kids Run Free organizes free, regular running events for children, of all ages. The children's abilities to be a part of the schools program, is as follows. Marathon Kids. The first Kids Run Free event was held in Solihull in May 2011. [1] Other locations were launched in Leamington Spa in July 2011, Coventry in April 2012, and Birmingham in May 2012. [2]
Since March 2012 former Olympic athlete David Moorcroft has served as a patron for Kids Run Free. Moorcroft is actively involved with Kids Run Free events and was present at the launch of the charity's Coventry race location. [3]
The Kids Run Free mascot was named following a competition held by the charity in February 2012. The competition winners chose to name the mascot 'Dash'. [4]
Kids Run Free works in partnership with its sister organisation Raceways. Raceways is a Multisport Event Management company committed to organising races for adults. [5] The proceeds of Raceways events are donated to Kids Run Free.
Royal Leamington Spa, commonly known as Leamington Spa or simply Leamington, is a spa town and civil parish in Warwickshire, England. Originally a small village called Leamington Priors, it grew into a spa town in the 18th century following the popularisation of its water which was reputed to have medicinal qualities. David Robert Moorcroft is a former middle-distance and long-distance runner from England, and former world record holder for 5,000 metres. His athletic career spanned the late-1970s and 1980s. He subsequently served as the Chief Executive of UK Athletics from 1997 to 2007. He was appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in 1983 and promoted to an Officer (OBE) in 1999, in both cases for services to athletics. In March 2023, he was appointed a Deputy lieutenant of the West Midlands.
Berkswell railway station, in the West Midlands of England, takes its name from the nearby village of Berkswell although it is located on the northern edge of the village of Balsall Common. The station originally opened in 1844 as Docker's Lane, changed to Berkswell on 1 January 1853, then to Berkswell & Balsall Common on 1 February 1928 before reverting to Berkswell again in 1955.

Solihull railway station serves the market town of Solihull in the West Midlands of England. The station is served by West Midlands Trains and Chiltern Railways. CrossCountry serve the station occasionally to replace stops at Coventry and Birmingham International during engineering work. Solihull used to have a regular Virgin CrossCountry service to Manchester Piccadilly, Blackpool North and Portsmouth Harbour until 2004, when all services through the station were made to run non-stop between Birmingham and Leamington Spa.

Haseley is a small village and former civil parish in Warwickshire, England. It is four miles north-west of the county town of Warwick and nine miles (14.5 km) south-east of Solihull, now in the parish of Beausale, Haseley, Honiley and Wroxall, created on 1 April 2007. The village is on the A4177 and, as it is only five miles (8 km) from the M40 motorway, is easily accessible. Haseley proper, along with Haseley Knob, Haseley Green and Waste Green, consists mainly of detached houses spread over a large area, giving the parish a very low housing density. The 2001 census recorded 207 residents living in 92 dwellings. It is an affluent area, with an average house price of around £277,000. Due to this and its proximity to the tourist towns of Warwick and Stratford upon Avon, several large and highly rated hotels are around the village.
The Coventry to Leamington Line is a railway line linking the city of Coventry with the town of Leamington Spa. The line was opened in 1844 by the London and Birmingham Railway, as far as Milverton. The line was extended to Leamington Spa Avenue in 1851. A connecting line to Berkswell opened in 1884.

He began his career in Birmingham City's Academy, but was not offered a professional contract, and also played non-league football for Redditch United, Solihull Moors, Evesham United, Leamington, Stratford Town, Hednesford Town, Sutton Coldfield Town and Chasetown. Internationally, he represented England at under-17 level.
