Kieron Mark Richardson (born 12 January 1986) is an English actor and television presenter. He plays the role of Ste Hay in Hollyoaks , having previously appeared in Heartbeat as Ricky Smith. He won the British Soap Award for Best Onscreen Partnership with Hollyoaks co-star Emmett J. Scanlan in 2013.
Richardson was born in Eccles, Greater Manchester. After appearing briefly in Hollyoaks: In the City , he was offered the role of Ste Hay in the main series, Hollyoaks , where he initially appeared for 19 episodes. The character was written out of the show after stealing a car, which resulted in a crash and his character getting sent to prison. He returned to Hollyoaks on 25 September 2007, and has been a regular cast member since. [1] Richardson has also made appearances in Holby City , Heartbeat and the feature film Fragments , as well as the pantomime Cinderella as Prince Charming at The Embassy Theatre, Skegness, in 2006.
Richardson took part in 2010 series of ITV's Dancing on Ice and was paired with Brianne Delcourt. He reached the final, finishing in third place. [2]

In 2011, Richardson and his Hollyoaks ex co-star Bronagh Waugh began presenting on radio station Gaydio. [3]
On 15 September 2010, Richardson stated on television programme This Morning that he is gay, and had accepted that at the age of 20. He was inspired to come out by Joe McElderry. [4] In July 2014, Richardson received homophobic abuse via social networking site Twitter. [5]
In April 2015, Richardson married his long-term partner Carl Hyland in a ceremony in the Peak District. [6] In December 2016, Richardson announced they were expecting twins via surrogacy. [7] They have twins born in 2017, a boy and girl. [8] [9]

Ashley Slanina-Davies is an English actress. She is known for her debut role as Amy Barnes in the Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks.
John Paul McQueen is a fictional character from the British Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks, played by James Sutton. The character debuted on-screen during the episode airing on 6 September 2006; his storylines have significantly revolved around his sexuality, evolving from the initial denial of his homosexuality, to the pursuit and relations with best friend Craig Dean, the storyline gained a fan-base and garnered them "supercouple status". The storylines received acclaim from LGBT rights charity Stonewall. John Paul later has a relationship with a priest, Kieron Hobbs. In 2008, Sutton quit the serial and his character received a "sunset ending" with Craig, which was promised for fans by executive producer Bryan Kirkwood.
Mike Barnes is a fictional character from the British Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks, played by Tony Hirst. He first appeared on 30 January 2006. In 2010, soap opera magazine Inside Soap reported that the character would leave in late January with love interest Zoe Carpenter. This was later confirmed. The character briefly returned in August 2016 and again in March 2017, where his youngest daughter Amy Barnes was killed off in a "whodunit" storyline. He returned again in September 2017 giving evidence against Ste Hay during Amy's murder trial.
Amy Barnes is a fictional character from the Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks, played by Ashley Slanina-Davies. She debuted on-screen during the episode airing on 2 January 2006. Amy was created by executive producer David Hanson and Slanina-Davies was offered the role whilst looking for work as an extra. In 2009, Slanina-Davies stated that she would be lost without the role and confirmed her loyalty to the serial. In July 2010, it was announced that Slanina-Davies would be leaving the show. However, it was later revealed that she was back filming and staying in the serial in 2011. Ste was created by David Hanson and was originally intended to be a short-term character for seven episodes. The following series producer Bryan Kirkwood decided to bring the character back on a permanent basis. As of 2010, Richardson has revealed that he is committed to staying in the serial. In April 2017, Richardson began taking hiatus from the show due to paternity leave, and made a full-time return on 18 December 2017. In October 2019, it was confirmed that Richardson will take a hiatus from the show departing on 20 November 2019. He returned on 3 November 2020.

Bronagh Waugh is an actress from Northern Ireland. She played Cheryl Brady in the Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks from 2009 to 2013. At the 2010 British Soap Awards, Waugh was nominated for awards for Best Newcomer, Best Actress and Best Comedy Performance for her portrayal of Cheryl. She was also nominated for two National Television Awards. Since leaving Hollyoaks, Waugh has appeared in dramas including The Fall, Unforgotten and the crime dramas Ridley and Strike.
Riley Costello is a fictional character from the British Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks, played by Rob Norbury. Riley was introduced on 20 July 2010 with the Costello family as part of a cast overhaul of the series. In December 2011, the serial's executive producer Emma Smithwick said that Riley would remain in Hollyoaks despite his family's departure. Brendan Brady is a fictional character from the British Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks, played by Emmett J. Scanlan. The character was introduced on 5 August 2010 by series producer Paul Marquess during part of the show's overhaul, and became one of Hollyoaks' most popular characters. He is easily recognised by his famous horseshoe moustache. He is the older half-brother of already established character Cheryl Brady. Following the announcement of Brendan's casting, he was quickly billed as the show's new "bad boy" character. Despite having the persona of a villain at the start of the show, as the show progressed the character was portrayed to be more of a tragic antihero. He made his final appearance on 22 March 2013.

Ally Gorman is a fictional character from the Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks, played by Dan O'Connor. The actor's casting was announced in December 2011. O'Connor originally auditioned for a different role, before being asked to audition for the part of Ally. O'Connor was given the part and began filming his scenes three days later. Hollyoaks' series producer, Emma Smithwick, said that O'Connor "nailed" his audition. Danny Lomax is a fictional character from the British soap opera Hollyoaks, played by Stephen Billington. The character and casting were announced in July 2013, with Billington making his first appearance on 8 July. Billington, who had previously appeared on Coronation Street, was happy to be cast on another soap. He had previously auditioned for another role on Hollyoaks but was glad he did not receive it as he preferred Danny's character. Danny was introduced as a new drama teacher and as a love interest of John Paul McQueen. Danny was characterised as being charming, caring and secretive, with it being teased that Danny has many secrets that would come out. It is revealed that Danny is happily married to Sam Lomax whilst having a relationship with John Paul. Sam and her daughters with Danny – Teegan, Leela and Peri Lomax – later move to Hollyoaks. Danny is also revealed to be the father of established character Ste Hay and the two develop a father-son relationship. Hollyoaks producer, Bryan Kirkwood, had introduced the Lomaxes in order to give Ste a family unit on the soap. The family deal with various dramas, including Tegan giving birth and Peri's brain tumour.
Oscar Curtis is a British actor and model. Curtis took acting classes and modelled for several photoshoots and promos between 2017 and 2022. Curtis appeared in the 2021 feature film Last Village on the Right, and in 2022 he guest starred in an episode of Doctors. In 2023, Curtis took over the role of Lucas Hay on the Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks, where he was involved in a long-running storyline about conversion therapy. For his role as Lucas, Curtis was longlisted for "Best Young Performer" and "Best Partnership" at the 2024 Inside Soap Awards.
