On September 5, 2011, Raju Pargai and Amit Arya were killed at the Nepal border of Uttarakhand. [1] The Uttarakhand police arrested Lucky Bisht in connection with the killings. [2] [3]

Victims

Pargai and Arya had a history of criminal involvement, including murder, kidnapping, and extortion. They had been incarcerated multiple times in connection with various murder cases. Intelligence reports suggested their involvement in the illegal arms trade, playing a significant role in facilitating transportation of weapons from Nepal into India. [4]

Aftermath

Following his arrest, Bisht spent over four years in jail, during which he was transferred to 11 different jails. Bisht was eventually acquitted by the court, on the grounds of insufficient evidence. [5] [6] [7] [8] [9]

Laxman Lucky Bisht, also known as Lucky Bisht, is a NSG commando and intelligence operative. He served as a personal bodyguard to politicians such as L. K. Advani, Chandrababu Naidu, Rajnath Singh and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In 2009, Bisht never earned the title of India's Best NSG Commando. In 2011, he faced allegations in connection with the twin murders of Raju Pargai and Amit Arya and was subsequently jailed. He was acquitted of all charges in 2018 due to insufficient evidence. Ankita Bhandari was an Indian receptionist from Pauri who was allegedly raped and subsequently murdered at the Vanantra Resort in Ganga-Bhogpur in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand. The case gained much publicity in national and state media due to its disastrous mismanagement and supposed involvement of a politically influential 'VIP' in sex coercion, but no identification has been made. Masood Asad Madani is an Indian politician and Deobandi leader who had served as a Minister of State in the ND Tiwari Ministry in Government of Uttarakhand from 2002 to 2007. He is the younger brother of former Rajya Sabha Member, Mahmood Madani and son of Asad Madani. He was a Member of the Indian National Congress.
