Kim Iversen (born 1980) is an American journalist, radio host, and political commentator. She is known for hosting the nationally syndicated radio programs Your Time with Kim Iversen (United Stations Radio Networks) and The Rendezvous with Simon and Kim (Premiere Networks), co-hosting the web series Rising on The Hill from 2021 to 2022, and hosting The Kim Iversen Show on YouTube and Rumble. Early life and education

Iversen was born in Boise, Idaho. [2] Her mother is a Vietnamese refugee and her father is the son of a small-town farmer. [6] As a teenager, she played drums. [2] She studied philosophy (with an emphasis on ethics) and music at the University of California, Davis. [2] While in college, she interned at radio stations KDVS, KDND, and KWOD in Sacramento. [2]

Career

Radio career

Iversen began her broadcasting career in college as a news reporter at KDVS in Davis, California. [2] She interned at KDND in Sacramento, served in promotions and on-air weekends at KWOD-hosting for "106.5 KWOD Alternative"-and worked as a news and traffic reporter at KCTC in Sacramento. [2] After graduating, she moved to New York City and freelanced as a news reporter for News 12 Networks and as a VJ for Concert TV. [2] She co-hosted mornings at WAZY-FM in Lafayette, Indiana, as part of "The WAZY Wake-Up Crew with Big Jake and Kim Iversen," [2] and hosted "Kim Iversen Mornings" at WQQB in Champaign, Illinois, from 2007 to 2008. In April 2008, Iversen launched the nationally syndicated lifestyle program Your Time with Kim Iversen through United Stations Radio Networks (now part of Audacy) and Entercom, based out of KAMX in Austin, Texas. [1] [2] [5] The interactive call-in show, targeting women, aired weeknights from 7 p.m. to midnight and featured listener advice, celebrity interviews, and expert discussions, including segments such as "The Why Chromosome," "Mascara Monologues," "Psychic Insights," and "Drama Detox." [1] [2] It was broadcast in markets including Portland, Denver, Austin, Milwaukee, Memphis, Indianapolis, Norfolk, Buffalo, Wichita, Fargo, Rapid City, Nashville, Chico-Redding, Dayton, Ohio, and Greenville, North Carolina. In June 2013, she co-hosted The Rendezvous with Simon and Kim on Premiere Networks (iHeartRadio), a relationship and sex advice program targeting women, airing evenings with music integration. [3] [7] The show premiered on XM 244, iHeartRadio, and stations like KTMY in Minneapolis and was syndicated to stations in markets including Chicago, Philadelphia, Miami, Seattle, Tampa, New Orleans, San Francisco, Akron, and others, reaching approximately 40–50 markets total across her radio career. In 2010, Iversen was a semi-finalist in the top 10 of the Live! with Regis and Kelly Women of Radio Co-host Competition. [2]

Rising (2021–2022)

In July 2021, Iversen joined Rising on The Hill in a newly created independent/anti-establishment seat. She appeared alongside Ryan Grim (left-wing) and, later, Robby Soave (who filled the right-wing seat previously held by Emily Jashinsky). [10] [11] She left the show in July 2022. [4]

Independent media

Iversen launched her independent YouTube channel The Kim Iversen Show on January 11, 2019. [4] The channel, which focuses on independent political commentary, has over 724,000 subscribers and 106 million views as of December 2025. [12] Following her departure from Rising, she signed an exclusive streaming deal with Rumble, where the show now airs live weekdays at 5 p.m. ET. [4]

Awards

In 2019, Iversen received the Serena Shim Award for Uncompromised Integrity in Journalism. [13] In 2022, she received the Women and Media Award from the Women’s Institute for Freedom of the Press. [14] She is also a grantee of Integrity Media Partners. [15] In 2019, she received a YouTube Silver Creator Award for surpassing 100,000 subscribers. [4]

Iversen describes herself as a free-speech advocate and a critic of corporate media, U.S. foreign policy, and Big Pharma.
