Tracee Joy Silberstein, known professionally as Tracee Ellis Ross, is an American actress. She is known for her lead roles in the television series Girlfriends (2000–2008) and Black-ish (2014–2022).

The Old Man & the Gun is a 2018 American biographical crime film written and directed by David Lowery, about Forrest Tucker, a career criminal and prison escape artist. The script is loosely based on David Grann's 2003 article in The New Yorker titled "The Old Man and the Gun", which was later collected in Grann's 2010 book The Devil and Sherlock Holmes. The film stars Robert Redford, Casey Affleck, Danny Glover, Tika Sumpter, Tom Waits and Sissy Spacek. Redford, then 82 years old, announced his intent to retire from acting after completion of the film.

It stars Jailoshini Naidoo, Maeshni Naicker, Madhushan Singh, and Mishqah Parthiephal. The film grossed over R4 million at the box office in its first week and went on to gross over R16 million, becoming the highest-grossing film in South Africa for the year, and the highest grossing South African film worldwide in 2017. It also featured in film festivals in North America.
Laxmii is a 2020 Indian Hindi-language horror comedy film written and directed by Raghava Lawrence, marking his directorial debut in the Hindi film industry. A remake of his own Tamil film Kanchana (2011), it stars Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani, while Ayesha Raza Mishra, Rajesh Sharma, Ashwini Kalsekar and Sharad Kelkar play pivotal roles. The film revolves around a man who gets possessed by the ghost of a transgender person. Kumar, also produced the film under his Cape of Good Films and Fox Star Studios, along with Tusshar Kapoor's newly launched production company, Tusshar Entertainment House and Shabinaa Entertainment. Lawrence co-wrote the script along with Farhad Samji, Sparsh Khetarpal, Tasha Bhambra, with Samji adapting the screenplay and dialogues to the Hindi version. The film was announced in January 2019, whilst the principal photography began in April 2019 and ended in March 2020.

The film is a sequel to the 2017 blockbuster box office hit film Keeping Up with the Kandasamys. The film had its theatrical release across 41 local theatres on 18 April 2019 and gained extremely positive reviews from the audience. The film became a success at the box office similar to its prequel and was rated as one of the best African films of 2019.

Turu, the Wacky Hen is a 2019 Spanish-Argentine computer-animated film directed by Eduardo Gondell and Víctor Monigote. The title comes from the popular children's song La gallina Turuleca, itself a Spanish version of the song A galinha magricela by Brazilian songwriter Edgard Poças, and popularized by Los Payasos de la Tele. The film had its world premiere at the San Sebastián International Film Festival on 21 September 2019, and was theatrically released in Spain on 1 January 2020 by Filmax and in Argentina on 14 July 2022 by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures under the Star Distribution label. It received mixed reviews, but won Best Animated Film at the 35th Goya Awards and 8th Platino Awards.

The film was bankrolled by Blackboard International and music is scored by Poovan Matheesan. The film had its theatrical release on 24 December 2021 and opened to positive reviews. This was also the first major Sri Lankan Tamil film to hit the screens since the release of black comedy film Komaali Kings in 2018.
