Chief Kingsley Esiso is a Nigerian lawyer and politician from Delta state. He was Special Adviser to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on Library Affairs. [1] In May 2016, he was elected and currently serves as Chair of the Delta State Peoples Democratic Party. [2] [3]

Biography

Esiso was born in Okpara Inland in Ethiope East local government area of Delta State. He holds the title of the Oruese of Agbon Kingdom. His wife, Mrs. Esiso was conferred the Ughana of Agbon Kingdom by His Royal Majesty, Ukori 1st (JP), the Ovie of Agbon Kingdom. [4]

Despite being accused of unsurping in April of 2016, in May of the same year he received whole support of the party as one of their candidates for Ward 2 in Sapele Local Government Area elections. [5]

Despite the oposition to his second term bid as the Delta State Chairman of the PDP, [6] he was re-elected in August 2020. [7] [8]

He is the senator representing Imo North at the 9th Nigerian National Assembly. He was elected Senator for the Imo North (Okigwe) constituency of Imo State, Nigeria at the start of the Nigerian Fourth Republic, running on the People's Democratic Party (PDP) platform. He took office on 29 May 1999. He was re-elected in April 2003. After taking his seat in the Senate in June 1999, Ararume was appointed to committees on Communications, Police Affairs, Federal Character, Finance & Appropriation, Information and Niger Delta.

Ifeanyichukwu Arthur Okowa is a Nigerian doctor and politician who served as Governor of Delta State from May 2015 to May 2023. A member of the Peoples Democratic Party, he was the party's vice presidential candidate in the 2023 presidential election running alongside Atiku Abubakar who was the presidential candidate.

Peter Onyeluka Nwaoboshi is a Nigerian politician who served as the senator representing Delta North senatorial district in the Nigerian Senate from 2015 to 2023. He was sacked shortly after being announced senator-elect during the 2019 general elections by a Federal High Court in Abuja, following allegations that he was not validly elected by his political party. The Appeal Court in Abuja however overturned the decision on 30 May 2019. The lead judge held that the Federal High Court that nullified his election had no jurisdiction over the case.

General elections were held in Nigeria on 25 February 2023 to elect the president and vice president and members of the Senate and House of Representatives. Incumbent president Muhammadu Buhari was term-limited and could not seek re-election for a third term. This election was seen as the tightest race since the end of military rule in 1999.

The 2019 Delta State gubernatorial election occurred on March 9, 2019. Incumbent PDP Governor Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa won re-election for a second term, defeating APC's Great Ovedje Ogboru, and several minor party candidates.

Primaries were held between 4 April and 9 June 2022.

Princess Patience Adankele Ajudua, known as Pat Ajudua is a Nigerian lawyer and parliamentarian. She was the Chief whip of the Delta State House of Assembly.

Monday John Onyeme is a Nigerian politician and chartered accountant who has been the Deputy Governor of Delta State since May 2023. He was sworn in on May 29 alongside the Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori after winning the 2023 gubernatorial election in March 2023.
