The Delta State Peoples Democratic Party (also known as Delta PDP) is the state level chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party in Delta State, Nigeria. It is the current ruling political party in the southern oil-rich state and has produced governors since the advent of the fourth republic in 1999.
The party's executive is led by Chairman Solomon Arenyeka and Deputy Chair Moses Iduh

Ifeanyi Godwin Ararume is a Nigerian politician who was appointed by the country's minister of Petroleum Resources, as the Chairman, board of management of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, in the wake of implementation of the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA). He is the senator representing Imo North at the 9th Nigerian National Assembly. He was elected Senator for the Imo North (Okigwe) constituency of Imo State, Nigeria at the start of the Nigerian Fourth Republic, running on the People's Democratic Party (PDP) platform. He took office on 29 May 1999. He was re-elected in April 2003. After taking his seat in the Senate in June 1999, Ararume was appointed to committees on Communications, Police Affairs, Federal Character, Finance & Appropriation, Information and Niger Delta.
Ifeanyichukwu Arthur Okowa is a Nigerian doctor and politician who served as Governor of Delta State from May 2015 to May 2023. A member of the Peoples Democratic Party, he was the party's vice presidential candidate in the 2023 presidential election running alongside Atiku Abubakar who was the presidential candidate.

Chukwuemeka Ihedioha ; born 24 March 1965) is a Nigerian politician and businessman who served as governor of Imo State from 2019 to 2020. He was removed from office on 14 January 2020, by the Supreme Court of Nigeria which declared the APC candidate the authentic winner of the 2019 gubernatorial election. He was deputy speaker of the House of Representatives of Nigeria from 2011 to 2015.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) is one of the two major contemporary political parties in Nigeria, along with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Founded on 6 February 2013 from a merger of Nigeria's three largest opposition parties, the party came to power following the victory of party candidate Muhammadu Buhari in the 2015 presidential election. This marked the first time in Nigerian history that an opposition party unseated a governing party and power was transferred peacefully.

The PDP National Working Committee, also known by its acronym NWC, is the executive committee of the People's Democratic Party in Nigeria. The NWC is composed of 12 members, all of whom are elected to a four-year term at the party's National Convention. The NWC is headed by the chairperson, who also functions as the party's national chair. The NWC has the responsibility for the day-to-day governance of the party as well as oversight of its national activities.
The PDP Governors Forum or PDPGF is a political and policy think tank consisting of the state governors affiliated with the People's Democratic Party in Nigeria. The Forum was formed on 24 February 2013 when it split away from the Nigeria Governors Forum (NGF). The PDPGF aims to provide a platform for governors to interact and exchange knowledge, ideas and experiences about how to move the party forward as well as to better coordinate programmes and policies in their various states. The Forum is led by a Chairperson, currently Bala Mohammed. He took over in June 2023 from Aminu Waziri Tambuwal the previous chairman of the Forum.
The PDP Board of Trustees (BoT) is a constitutionally-mandated 99-member body within the People's Democratic Party of Nigeria that provides advice and counsel to the leadership of the National Working Committee and staff. It is regarded by the party's constitution as the conscience of the party.
Abiodun Christine Olujimi is a Nigerian politician, who served as senator representing Ekiti South senatorial district from 2015 to 2023 and was minority leader of the Nigerian Senate. She was a board member of Nigerian Communications Commission. She previously served as deputy governor of Ekiti State from November 2005 until her impeachment in October 2006.
An election for Governor of Lagos State took place on 11 April 2015. All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate Akinwunmi Ambode, who is a former accountant general of Lagos State, defeated People's Democratic Party (PDP) candidate Jimi Agbaje and Alliance for Democracy (AD) candidate Bolaji Ogunseye. The governor and deputy governor are elected on the same ticket.
Peter Onyeluka Nwaoboshi is a Nigerian politician who served as the senator representing Delta North senatorial district in the Nigerian Senate from 2015 to 2023. He was sacked shortly after being announced senator-elect during the 2019 general elections by a Federal High Court in Abuja, following allegations that he was not validly elected by his political party. The Appeal Court in Abuja however overturned the decision on 30 May 2019. The lead judge held that the Federal High Court that nullified his election had no jurisdiction over the case.
The 2019 Delta State gubernatorial election occurred on March 9, 2019. Incumbent PDP Governor Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa won re-election for a second term, defeating APC's Great Ovedje Ogboru, and several minor party candidates.
The 2015 Delta State gubernatorial election was the 7th gubernatorial election of Delta State. Held on April 11, 2015, the People's Democratic Party nominee Ifeanyi Okowa won the election, defeating Great Ogboru of the LP.
The 2023 Delta State gubernatorial election will take place on 18 March 2023, to elect the Governor of Delta State, concurrent with elections to the Delta State House of Assembly as well as twenty-seven other gubernatorial elections and elections to all other state houses of assembly. The election—which was postponed from its original 11 March date—will be held three weeks after the presidential election and National Assembly elections. Incumbent PDP Governor Ifeanyi Okowa is term-limited and cannot seek re-election to a third term.
The 2023 Nasarawa State gubernatorial election will take place on 18 March 2023, to elect the Governor of Nasarawa State, concurrent with elections to the Nasarawa State House of Assembly as well as twenty-seven other gubernatorial elections and elections to all other state houses of assembly. The election—which was postponed from its original 11 March date—will be held three weeks after the presidential election and National Assembly elections. Incumbent APC Governor Abdullahi Sule is eligible to run for re-election and has been renominated by his party.
