Joan Onyemaechi Mrakpor (born 1966) is a Nigerian Christian evangelist and politician of Anioma heritage. She is a member of the People's Democratic Party and has since 2015 represented Aniocha North-Aniocha South-Oshimili North-Oshimili South in the House of Representatives. Prior to her election into national level politics, Onyemaechi served as a member of the Delta State House of Assembly for Aniocha South from 2007 to 2015. [1] [2]

Education

Onyemaechi began her early education at Ubulu Primary School and earned her First School Leaving Certificate in 1976. [1] She attended Itoshan Grammar School Benin City where she received her West African Senior School Certificate (1982). She then proceeded to the University of Jos, graduating with B.A. in English language in 1992. [2] She also obtained a Postgraduate diploma (PgD) from the Nigerian Institute of Journalism two years later. Between 2004 and 2005, Onyemaechi pursued additional studies at the Thames Valley University and Manchester Business School, both in the UK. [1]

Political career

She was elected into the Delta State House of Assembly in 2007 to represent the constituency of Aniocha South. She was reelected in 2011 and in 2015 was elected to the National Assembly as a member of the People's Democratic Party. She currently represents Aniocha North-Aniocha South-Oshimili North-Oshimili South constituency in the House of Representatives. [3]

Personal life

Onyemaechi is married to Peter Mrakpor, a lawyer and current Delta State Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice. [4] They are blessed with 5 children

He ran for a third term on the platform of the All Progressives Congress and won. Dyegh is currently serving his 3rd term at the National Assembly. And he is the current House committee chairman on Human Rights.

Victor Ochei

Victor Ochei from Ogbekenu Delta State Nigeria was elected Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, on 6 June 2011 as the representative of Aniocha North constituency marking the commencement of the Fifth Assembly of the Delta State Legislature. He held the position of Primus Interpares of the Delta State Assembly for a period of 2 years 9 months of exemplary stewardship before his voluntary resignation on 18 March 2014.

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) is a political party in Nigeria. The party was originally named "Alliance for Democratic Change" when it was formed in 2005, but renamed the African Democratic Congress by the time the party was registered with the Nigerian Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). The goal of this name change was for the party to be able "to effectively encompass and reflect the aspirations of our people." The ADC headquarters is located in Abuja, Nigeria, but there are plans for the office to relocate in 2019. The party constitution states that the goal of the party is to create a grass root organization, of and for Nigerians. For the selection of their candidates for the 2019 Nigerian general election, the ADC used the Direct Primary method in which all registered party members participated in the nomination of candidates that would run on the platform of the party at general elections. On 24 September 2018, the African Democratic Congress selected senator Abdulaziz Nyako as the candidate for the 2019 Nigerian general elections.

Evelyn Omavowan Oboro is a Nigerian politician and member of the Federal House of Representative. She represented Okpe, Sapele and Uvwie constituency of Delta State in the 7th and 8th National Assembly. She was elected on the platform of the People's Democratic Party (PDP)
