Kingsley Burutu Otuaro (born 16 April 1968) is a Nigerian politician and businessman who served as deputy governor of Delta State from May 2015 to May 2023. [1] [2] [3]
Otuaro obtained his LLB and honours in 1999 from the Bendel state University (presently Ambrose Alli University). He was called to bar in 2005. Special adviser to James Ibori on Community affairs. [4] [5]
Served as the Commissioner representing the Ijaw ethnic nationality on the board of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC) before the board was dissolved. On re-constitution of the DESOPADEC board,Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan re-appointed him to serve in same capacity from 2012 to 2014. [6] A member of the Peoples Democratic Party,contested in the May 25,2022 primary election which the current Governor of the state Sheriff Oborevwori was announced winner.

Warri,Udu,Okpe and Uvwie are the commercial capital of Delta State with a population of over 311,970 people in 2006. The city is the indigenous territory of Itsekiri,Urhobo and Ijaw people.
The Ijaw people,otherwise known as the Ijo people,are an ethnic group found in the Niger Delta in Nigeria,with significant population clusters in Bayelsa,Delta,and Rivers. They also occupy Edo,Ondo,and small parts of Akwa Ibom. Many are found as migrant fishermen in camps as far west as Sierra Leone and as far east as Gabon. They account for about 1.8% of the Nigerian population according to CIA Factbook. The Ijaws are one of the most populous tribes inhabiting the Niger Delta region and the eighth largest ethnic group in Nigeria.
Delta State is a state in the South-South geopolitical zone of Nigeria. Named after the Niger Delta—a large part of which is in the state—the state was formed from the former Bendel State,on 27 August 1991. Bordered on the north by Edo State,the east by Anambra and Rivers states,and that south by Bayelsa State while to the west is the Bight of Benin which covers about 160 kilometres of the state's coastline. The state was initially created with 12 local government areas in 1991,but was later expanded to 19 and now has 25 local government areas. Its capital city is Asaba which is located along the River Niger on the northeastern end of the state,while the state's economic center is the city of Warri on the southwestern coastline.

John Olukayode Fayemi;born 9 February 1965) is a Nigerian politician who served as governor of Ekiti State from 2018 to 2022. He previously served in office between 2010 and 2014 before losing re-election to Ayodele Fayose. He was also the Minister of Solid Minerals Development in President Muhammadu Buhari's cabinet from 11 November 2015 to 30 May 2018,when he resigned to contest for a second term as Governor of Ekiti State. He is the pioneer president of the Forum of Regions of Africa (FORAF) since 9 September 2022.

Ekeremor is one of the eight local government areas (LGAs) in Bayelsa State,Nigeria. It borders Delta State and has a coastline of approximately 60 km on the Bight of Bonny. Its headquarters are in the town of Ekeremor in the northeast of the area.

She was a board member of Nigerian Communications Commission. She previously served as deputy governor of Ekiti State from November 2005 until her impeachment in October 2006.
Obarisi Ovie Omo-Agege is a Nigerian lawyer and politician who served as the Deputy President of the Nigerian Senate from 2019 to 2023. He was the senator representing Delta Central Senatorial District from 2015 to 2023.
The 2019 Delta State gubernatorial election occurred on March 9,2019. Incumbent PDP Governor Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa won re-election for a second term,defeating APC's Great Ovedje Ogboru,and several minor party candidates.
The 2023 Nigerian gubernatorial elections were held for state governors in 31 out of 36 Nigerian states. All but three elections were held on 18 March—concurrent with elections to every state house of assembly,three weeks after the presidential election and National Assembly elections—while the Imo State,Kogi State,and Bayelsa State elections will be held on 11 November. The last regular gubernatorial elections for all states were in 2019. All states have a two term limit for Governors which makes 18 incumbent governors ineligible for re-election.
The 2023 Delta State gubernatorial election will take place on 18 March 2023,to elect the Governor of Delta State,concurrent with elections to the Delta State House of Assembly as well as twenty-seven other gubernatorial elections and elections to all other state houses of assembly. The election—which was postponed from its original 11 March date—will be held three weeks after the presidential election and National Assembly elections. Incumbent PDP Governor Ifeanyi Okowa is term-limited and cannot seek re-election to a third term.
The 2019 Nigerian Senate election in Delta State held on February 23,2019,to elect members of the Nigerian Senate to represent Delta State. James Manager Ebiowou representing Delta North,Nwaoboshi Peter Onyeluka representing Delta South both won on the platform of the People's Democratic Party,while Ovie Omo-Agege representing Delta Central won on the platform of All Progressives Congress.
The 2023 Nigerian Senate elections in Delta State will be held on 25 February 2023,to elect the 3 federal Senators from Delta State,one from each of the state's three senatorial districts. The elections will coincide with the 2023 presidential election,as well as other elections to the Senate and elections to the House of Representatives;with state elections being held two weeks later. Primaries were held between 4 April and 9 June 2022.
