Kirk MacDonald (born December 18, 1983) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey forward who is currently serving as the head coach for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League (AHL).
MacDonald previously served as the head coach of the Reading Royals of the ECHL, where he led the Royals to a winning record in each of his six years at the helm. [1] [2] He previously played for the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League and was briefly under contract to the Boston Bruins, having played in several National Hockey League preseason games.
Macdonald became the head coach of the Dubuque Fighting Saints for the 2022-23 season. After a playoff berth in his first season, Macdonald led the Saints all the way to the Clark Cup Finals in 2023-24. However, the Saints would ultimately fall to the Fargo Force in four games.
On June 19, 2024, MacDonald announced he accepted the role of head coach of the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League (AHL) after two seasons in Dubuque. It will be his first coaching stint in the AHL.
Michael Barry Sullivan is an American professional ice hockey coach and former player who is the head coach for the Pittsburgh Penguins of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was selected in the fourth round, 69th overall, by the New York Rangers in the 1987 NHL Entry Draft. Sullivan has also played for the San Jose Sharks, Calgary Flames, Boston Bruins, and Phoenix Coyotes. Internationally, he represented the United States twice, including at the 1997 World Championship.
The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins are a professional ice hockey team in the American Hockey League, and are the AHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Pittsburgh Penguins. They play at the Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza in Wilkes-Barre Township, Pennsylvania, just outside the city of Wilkes-Barre. They have won the Macgregor Kilpatrick Trophy twice for having the best record in the regular season.

Michael George Vellucci is an American former professional ice hockey player. He is currently an assistant coach of the Pittsburgh Penguins in the National Hockey League. Previously, he was the head coach and general manager of the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in the American Hockey League for one season. Prior to that he was head coach of the Charlotte Checkers in the American Hockey League for two seasons winning the Calder Cup in 2018-19. He was also head coach and general manager of the Plymouth Whalers in the Ontario Hockey League for 14 seasons.
David Thomas Gove was an American ice hockey player and head coach of the Wheeling Nailers of the ECHL. He last played with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League (AHL) during the 2008–09 season. Though he primarily played in the minor leagues, Gove did appear in two games with the Carolina Hurricanes of the National Hockey League (NHL) between 2005 and 2007.
John Clark Donatelli is an American former professional ice hockey player and is the current head coach of the Tipos Extraliga's HC Nové Zámky. Donatelli was a long-time minor league player in the American Hockey League (AHL) and International Hockey League (IHL). He played 35 games in the National Hockey League (NHL).
