Kjell Erik Bystedt (born 24 May 1960) is a retired Swedish hammer thrower who has also competed at the 1988 Summer Olympics. [1] [2]
The World Athletics Championships are a biennial athletics competition organized by World Athletics. Alongside the Olympic Games, they represent the highest level championships of senior international outdoor athletics competition for track and field athletics globally, including marathon running and race walking. The men's pole vault field event at the 1972 Olympic Games took place on September 1 & 2. Twenty-one athletes from 12 nations competed. The maximum number of athletes per nation had been set at 3 since the 1930 Olympic Congress. The event was won by Wolfgang Nordwig of East Germany, the first non-American to win the event. Nordwig and silver medalist Bob Seagren were the third and fourth men to win multiple medals in the event.
Kei Takase is a Japanese sprinter. He competed in 200 metres at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, and was part of the Japanese 4 × 400 m team. He also competed in the 2013 World Championships in Athletics, held in Moscow. More recently he took part in 100 metres races in various meetings, clocking 10.09 into a slight headwind in Kawasaki in May 2015, performing well enough to represent Japan in the 100 m at the 2015 World Championships as well as in the 200 m. He competed at the 2016 Olympics in the 200 m, only.
Manuel André Antonio is an Angolan middle-distance runner. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, he competed in the Men's 800 metres. He also competed in the 800 metres at the 2013 World Championships.

São Tomé and Príncipe competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from 5 to 21 August 2016. The country's participation at Rio de Janeiro marked its sixth consecutive appearance at the Summer Olympics. Three athletes from São Tomé and Princípe were selected for the Games. Romário Leitão and Celma Bonfim da Graça participated in athletics and Buly Triste in flatwater canoeing. Bonfim was the only female on the roster and the only member with prior Olympic experience. Triste was the first male athlete to carry the São Tomé and Princípe flag at the opening ceremony. São Tomé and Princípe has yet to win its first Olympic medal.
The Maldives competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from 5 to 21 August 2016. This was the nation's eighth consecutive appearance at the Summer Olympics. The delegation included two track and field athletes: Hassan Saaid and Afa Ismail, as well as swimmers Ibrahim Nishwan and Aminath Shajan. Both Shajan and Ismail were returning competitors from the 2012 London Olympics, with the former leading the Maldivian squad as the flag bearer in the opening ceremony. The Maldives, however, has yet to win its first ever Olympic medal.

This was the nation's seventh appearance at the Summer Olympics since its debut at the 1988 Summer Olympics. Brunei failed to register any athletes in two editions of the Games: 1992 in Barcelona and 2008 in Beijing.
Karen Bystedt an American visual artist and photographer who was born in Israel and grew up in London, San Francisco and Los Angeles. Bystedt is best known for a series of photographs she took of Andy Warhol in 1982 and for the collaborations she has done with other artists, such as Chris Brown, using these images as the base for the designs. In 2014, LA Weekly included one of Bystedt's murals in their list of the top ten murals in the city.
Bror Jonny Danielson is a retired Swedish 5000m runner who has also competed at the 1988 as well as in the 1992 Summer Olympics representing Sweden.
