KneeHi is the shortest living donkey as certified by the Guinness World Records, at 24.29 inches tall measured to the top of the withers. [1] [2] KneeHi is a registered miniature Mediterranean donkey and lives at Best Friends Farm in Gainesville, Florida. He is owned by Jim and Frankie Lee. [3]

Overview

KneeHi was introduced at the Georgia National Fair soon after his birth in 2007. In 2008 he won the trophy for "most loved exhibit". [4] His great sire was GP Oscar who was known as the smallest known registered jack at 26.5 inches tall.

Guinness World Record

KneeHi was added to the Guinness World Record registry on July 26, 2011. Craig Glenday, Guinness World Records Editor-in-Chief, was at the official measuring. [1]

Her owners, Paul and Kay Goessling, and her handler, Michael Goessling, Nadja and Jaka Lesnik cared for her and other miniature horses on their farm in Ladue. Thumbelina died in 2018.

Giant George was a blue Great Dane previously recognised as the world's tallest living dog, and the tallest dog ever by Guinness World Records. The declaration came during Balawing's 18th birthday celebration. Guinness World Records official said Balawing broke the record of Khagendra Thapa Magar of Nepal, who was 0.67 m tall.

The American Mammoth Jackstock is a breed of North American donkey, descended from large donkeys imported to the United States from about 1785. George Washington, with Henry Clay and others, bred for an ass that could be used to produce strong work mules. Washington was offering his jacks for stud service by 1788. Large breeds of asses were found in Kentucky by 1800. Breeds that influenced the Mammoth Jack include the Maltese, the Baudet du Poitou, the Andalusian, the Majorcan and the Catalan.

North American donkeys constitute approximately 0.1% of the worldwide donkey population. Donkeys were brought from Europe to the New World in the fifteenth century with the Second Voyage of Christopher Columbus, and subsequently spread into Mexico. Donkeys arrived in large numbers in the western United States during the gold rushes of the nineteenth century, as pack animals and for use in mines and ore-grinding mills. She was also one of the shortest living siblings according to Guinness World Records with her younger brother Brad was 38 inches tall at 20 years old. The siblings were born with a rare genetic condition called Microcephalic osteodysplastic primordial dwarfism type II. Bridgette Jordan was the smallest woman in the USA. She lived in Sandoval, Illinois, having attended college at Kaskaskia College. She enjoyed dancing and cheerleading. She was on the cheer squad for Kaskaskia. She wore an infant size 2 shoe.

Chandra Bahadur Dangi was a Nepali man who was the shortest man in recorded history, measuring 54.6 cm. He broke the record previously set by Gul Mohammed (1957–1997), whose height was 57 cm.

Afshin Ghaderzadeh is an Iranian Internet personality who is the shortest living man in the world. He was recognized by the Guinness World Records in December 2022. He has dimensions of measuring 65.24 centimetres (25.69 in), which is 7 centimetres (2.8 in) less than the previous person.
