Koccharlakota Satyanarayana (2 April 1915 - 1969) was a Telugu film and drama actor and playback singer during the early period of Telugu cinema. [1]
He was born into a Zamindari family in West Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh. His childhood was spent with his grandparents at Bhimadole during the 1910s. He liked sitting before the gramophone and used to sing along. While in Rajahmundry, during his high school days he joined Kesari Samajam of Machiraju Ramachandra Murthy and started acting in stage plays. He staged Chintamani and Pratapa Rudreeyam and used to donate that money to schools and libraries.[ citation needed ]
He entered the cinema field with Draupadi Vastrapaharanam of Saraswati Talkies. He acted as Krishna in Jarasandha , Basavaraju in Vara Vikrayam , Malli Pelli of Y. V. Rao and as Lakshmana in Paduka Pattabhishekam .[ citation needed ]
He shifted to the Dramatic field and acted with Vemuri Gaggayya and Sthanam Narasimha Rao in the plays Jarasandha, Sarangadhara and Tulabaram. He later joined Prabhat Theatres of Banda Kanakalingeswara Rao and acted as Arjununa in Pandava, Vengala Rao in Bobbili Yudham, Satyavan in Sati Savitri, Bhavani Shankar in Chintamani and as Kalidas in Kalidas. He acted in Ramanjaneya Yudham as Lord Rama with Betha Venkata Rao.[ citation needed ]

Daana Veera Soora Karna is a 1977 Indian Telugu-language Hindu mythological film co-written, produced and directed by N. T. Rama Rao under his banner, Ramakrishna Cine Studios. Based on the life of Karna from the Mahabharata, it stars Rama Rao in three roles: the title character, Duryodhana, and Krishna. It also stars Rao's sons Nandamuri Harikrishna and Nandamuri Balakrishna, who play the roles of Arjuna and Abhimanyu, respectively. Music for the film was composed by Pendyala Nageswara Rao.
Samarla Venkata Ranga Rao, popularly known by his initials SVR, was an Indian actor, director and producer known for his works in Telugu cinema and Tamil cinema. Akkineni Laxmi Vara Prasada Rao, known popularly and professionally as L. V. Prasad, was an Indian film producer, actor, director, cinematographer and businessman. He was one of the pioneers of Indian cinema and is the recipient of the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, the highest Award for films in India. P. Bhanumathi Ramakrishna was an Indian actress, director, music director, singer, producer, novelist and lyricist. Widely known as the first female super star of Telugu cinema, Bhanumathi appeared in over 100 films predominantly in Telugu and Tamil languages. She was awarded the Padma Bhushan in 2001 for her contribution to the Indian cinema. She was honored among "women in cinema" at the 30th International Film Festival of India.
Lava Kusa is a 1963 Indian Hindu mythological film directed by C. S. Rao and his father C. Pullaiah. The film's script was written by Samudrala Sr. The film was produced by Sankara Reddy under Lalita Sivajyothi Films. The film was shot in both Telugu and Tamil languages with the same title, but with slight differences in the cast. The film was a remake of 1934 film of same name which was also directed by C. Pullaiah. The story is an adaptation of the Uttara Kanda from Ramayana. It revolves around the roles of Lava and Kusa, sons of Rama and Sita. The Telugu version stars Kanta Rao, Shoban Babu, S. Varalakshmi, Kaikala Satyanarayana in supporting roles, replaced in that order by M. R. Radha and Manorama in the Tamil counterpart.

Basavaraju Venkata Padmanabha Rao, known mononymously as Padmanabham, was an Indian actor, comedian, director, and producer predominantly known for his work in Telugu cinema and theatre, comic expressions, and dialogues. Padmanabham was primarily a theatre artist, although he also acted in over 400 feature films. He made his film debut in 1945 with Mayalokam.
