Kockelscheuer (Luxembourgish : Kockelscheier) is a small town in the commune of Roeser, in southern Luxembourg. As of 2024, the town has a population of 284. [1] The Fortis Championships Luxembourg are held at the Kockelscheuer Sport Centre, just to the north of the town. The 2014 IIHF World Championship Division III were held at the Kockelscheuer Ice Rink in April 2014. Each year Kockelscheuer held sponsored by BGL a tennis tournament, part of WTA.

The 2008 IIHF World Championship Division III consisted of two tournaments: the qualification tournament, which was held in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, from 15 to 17 February 2008, and the main tournament, held in Kockelscheuer, Luxembourg, from 31 March to 6 April 2008. North Korea and South Africa finished in the top two spots of the main tournament and were promoted to next year's Division II.

It was the 12th edition of the Fortis Championships Luxembourg, and was part of the Tier II Series of the 2007 WTA Tour. It was held in Kockelscheuer, Luxembourg. The singles title was won by Ana Ivanovic while the doubles title was won by Iveta Benešová and Janette Husárová.

The 2010 BGL Luxembourg Open was a women's tennis tournament on indoor hard courts. It was the 15th edition of the Fortis Championships Luxembourg, and was part of the WTA International tournaments of the 2010 WTA Tour. It was held in Kockelscheuer, Luxembourg, from October 16 through October 24, 2010. Roberta Vinci won the singles title.
