Kockelscheuer (Luxembourgish : Kockelscheier) is a small town in the commune of Roeser, in southern Luxembourg. As of 2024, the town has a population of 284. [1] The Fortis Championships Luxembourg are held at the Kockelscheuer Sport Centre, just to the north of the town. The 2014 IIHF World Championship Division III were held at the Kockelscheuer Ice Rink in April 2014. Each year Kockelscheuer held sponsored by BGL a tennis tournament, part of WTA.

The 2007 Fortis Championships Luxembourg was a women's tennis tournament played on indoor hard courts. It was the 12th edition of the Fortis Championships Luxembourg, and was part of the Tier II Series of the 2007 WTA Tour. It was held in Kockelscheuer, Luxembourg. The singles title was won by Ana Ivanovic while the doubles title was won by Iveta Benešová and Janette Husárová.

The 2009 BGL Luxembourg Open was a tennis tournament on indoor hard courts. It was the 14th edition of the Fortis Championships Luxembourg, and was part of the WTA International tournaments of the 2009 WTA Tour. It was held in Kockelscheuer, Luxembourg, from October 17 through October 25, 2009.

The 2013 BGL Luxembourg Open was a women's tennis tournament played on indoor hard courts sponsored by BNP Paribas. It was the 18th edition of the BGL Luxembourg Open, and part of the WTA International tournaments of the 2013 WTA Tour. It was held in Kockelscheuer, Luxembourg from 14 October until 20 October 2013.

The 2020 IIHF World Championship Division III was an international ice hockey tournament run by the International Ice Hockey Federation.
