A sink — also known by other names including sinker, washbowl, hand basin and wash basin—is a bowl-shaped plumbing fixture used for washing hands, dishwashing, and other purposes. Sinks have taps (faucets) that supply hot and cold water and may include a spray feature to be used for faster rinsing. They also include a drain to remove used water; this drain may itself include a strainer and/or shut-off device and an overflow-prevention device. Sinks may also have an integrated soap dispenser. Many sinks, especially in kitchens, are installed adjacent to or inside a counter.
A bathroom is a room in the home or hotel for personal hygiene activities, generally containing a toilet, a sink (basin) and either a bathtub, a shower, or both. In some countries, the toilet is usually included in the bathroom, whereas other cultures consider this insanitary or impractical, and give that fixture a room of its own. The toilet may even be outside of the home in the case of pit latrines. It may also be a question of available space in the house whether the toilet is included in the bathroom or not.
A bidet is a plumbing fixture or type of sink intended for washing the genitalia, perineum, inner buttocks, and anus of the human body. It may be located next to the toilet in the toilet room. Fixtures that combine a toilet seat with a bidet, which may be electronic, are available.
A shower is a place in which a person bathes under a spray of typically warm or hot water. Indoors, there is a drain in the floor. Most showers have temperature, spray pressure and adjustable showerhead nozzle. The simplest showers have a swivelling nozzle aiming down on the user, while more complex showers have a showerhead connected to a hose that has a mounting bracket. This allows the showerer to hold the showerhead by hand to spray the water at different parts of their body. A shower can be installed in a small shower stall or bathtub with a plastic shower curtain or door. Showering is common in Western culture due to the efficiency of using it compared with a bathtub. Its use in hygiene is, therefore, common practice. A shower uses less water on average than a bath: 80 litres for a shower compared with 150 litres for a bath.

Mick De Giulio is an American designer widely recognized for growing and bringing distinction to kitchen interiors. His innovations also include kitchen products and furnishings. He founded his company, de Giulio Kitchen Design, in 1984, with a focus on custom residential and kitchen industry commissions in the United States and abroad. The company is headquartered in Wilmette, Illinois, with another showroom at LuxeHome in Chicago’s Merchandise Mart, a shop facility in Skokie, Illinois, and a metal fabricating facility in Yale, Michigan. In 2003, De Giulio was named a Kitchen and Bath Design Leader by Interior Design magazine, and in 2005, he was recognized by Kitchen and Bath Business magazine as one of the 50 most influential people in the kitchen and bath industry over the last 50 years. He is the author of two books on kitchen design, and and has been a frequent speaker at industry and trade events such as Kitchen/Bath Industry Show & Conference (K/BIS) NeoCon World’s Trade Fair, and Coverings. His designs have been extensively profiled in international consumer and trade magazines, as well as books, newspapers, and television (HGTV) He designed the kitchens for the Ritz-Carlton Residences in 2012, an exclusive condo development project on Chicago's Magnificent Mile. Non-residential commissions for his designs include research and demonstration kitchens for the Chicago Tribune, Meredith Corporation, and Sub-Zero/Wolf.
