Komar University of Science and Technology (KUST) is a private university located in the city of Sulaimany in Kurdistan region. It was founded in 2009.

History

Komar University of Science and Technology (KUST) - Sulaimani was established and licensed by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the Kurdistan Regional Government, by the official letter no. 17867/7 on October 18, 2009. KUST is a private university governed by a board of trustees and run by an Administration Council. Its main campus is located in the city of Sulaimani, in Kurdistan- Iraq. KUST offered its first teaching classes in 2010 with an English language summer course (levels 1 and 3).

Colleges

KUST has five colleges, the College of Business, the college of Medicine, the college of Dentistry, the College of Engineering, and the College of Sciences. [3]

Salahaddin University-Erbil is one of the public higher education institutions in the Kurdistan region It is located in Erbil (Hewler), capital of the autonomous Kurdistan Region of Iraq. Sulaimani University-Sulaimani was established in 1968. It was moved to Erbil in 1981 and changed its name to Salaheddin university. Initially, the university included seven Academic Colleges: Science, Agriculture, Engineering, Administration, Arts, Education, and Medicine. In 1985, a college of Law and Politics was added, followed by the college of Dentistry in 1995. Several more were established in the following years so that by 2004, the university offered courses in 22 departments. In 2005, the departments of Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, and Pharmacy split from Salahaddin University to establish Hawler Medical University.

Pharos University in Alexandria (PUA) جامعة فاروس بالإسكندرية is the first private university in Alexandria, Egypt. The University has signed a series of cooperation agreements with a number of European and American universities in order to benefit from their advanced modern teaching methodologies and sustainable development in the various fields of science, as well as the application of international quality systems. In accordance with that, many student and faculty staff member exchange programs are organized between PUA and other universities in order to take advantage of the expertise of those universities and achieve further development.
