Kra is a Japanese visual kei rock band formed in 2001.

Musical styles

Their music includes a variety of genres from indie pop, alternative, funk, punk, hard rock and even an influence of jazz. Kra is signed to the PS company label and made their major label debut with the single "Heart Balance" on September 21, 2006.

History

The band formed in August 2001, and released their first demo tape, Brise, on May 18, 2002. The following November, they signed a contract with PS Company after releasing their second demo tape, Hard Lolita.

Guitarist Mai left the band due to health problems and a farewell performance was made on December 28, 2010. [1]

Guitarist Taizo and drummer Yasuno left the band after a concert on January 25, 2019, due to artistic differences. [2]

The band had King Records as its record label until 2010, when they joined Tokuma Japan. Then, in 2013, the band joined Universal Music Group's Nayutawave Records. They shortened their name to A9 in 2015, but switched back to Alice Nine in 2019. In 2023, Alice Nine announced that they would be going on a indefinite hiatus from September 3, following a last tour that began in May.

Soft On Demand, often known as SOD, is a Japanese adult video group of companies which has its headquarters in the Nakano ward of Tokyo. Hironobu Kageyama is a Japanese musician, singer and composer. He is best known for his work on anime, video game and tokusatsu soundtracks. Kageyama first rose to prominence as a teenager in the 1970s as lead singer of the rock band Lazy. Following their breakup in 1981, Kageyama began a solo career. He struggled until finding major success in the mid-1980s, when he started singing theme songs for anime and tokusatsu television shows. The music to such programs is called anison in Japan, and Kageyama became immensely popular, earning the nickname "Prince of the Anison World".
