Kris Hasskamp (born April 27,1951) is an American politician.
Hasskamp was born in Crosby,Minnesota. She went to the College of St. Scholastica and received her associate degree from Brainerd Community College. Hasskamp received her bachelor's degree,in health and physical education,from Bemidji State University. Hasskamp was an administrator and educator. Hasskamp served in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 1989 to 2001 and was a Democrat. [1] [2]
Brainerd is a city in Crow Wing County,Minnesota,United States. Its population was 14,395 at the 2020 census. It is the county seat of Crow Wing County. Brainerd straddles the Mississippi River several miles upstream from its confluence with the Crow Wing River,having been founded as a site for a railroad crossing above the confluence. Brainerd is the principal city of the Brainerd Micropolitan Area,a micropolitan area covering Cass and Crow Wing counties and with a combined population of 96,189 at the 2020 census. The city is well known for being the partial setting of the 1996 film Fargo.
KAXE is a community licensed public radio station serving Northern Minnesota communities,including Grand Rapids,Brainerd,Bemidji,Virginia,Chisholm and Hibbing. The station airs locally produced news,talk,and music programming. It is a member of Ampers,a group of public radio stations in Minnesota that are not affiliated with Minnesota Public Radio. It is also a member of National Public Radio,and is the only full NPR member in the state that is not an MPR affiliate.

Brainerd International Raceway is a road course,and dragstrip racing complex northwest of the city of Brainerd,Minnesota. The complex has a 0.25 mi (0.40 km) dragstrip,and overlapping 2.500 mi (4.023 km) and 3.100 mi (4.989 km) road courses. The complex also includes a kart track. The raceway hosts the National Hot Rod Association's Lucas Oil Nationals. It is a popular racetrack for the Trans Am Series. The spectator seating capacity of the circuit is 20,000.

Kristen J. "Kris" Amundson is a former delegate to the Virginia General Assembly. A Democrat,she was elected to the Virginia House of Delegates in November 1999. She represented the 44th district in Fairfax County. She announced that she would not seek reelection to the General Assembly in 2009,and was replaced by fellow Democrat Scott Surovell. Prior to her service in the General Assembly,Amundson was on the Fairfax County School Board.
