Krishnabhaskar Mangalasserri is an Indian actor, model, academic, novelist, [1] and screenwriter who works in the Malayalam film industry. He made his acting debut in the Malayalam film Puthiya Theerangal (2012) and later starred in the movie American-born Confused Desi (ABCD). He co-wrote and played a lead role in the movie Asha Black.
Krishnabhaskar was born in Kollam as the son of a police officer and school teacher in the year 1973[ citation needed ]. He was actively involved in school plays and drama[ citation needed ]. After his MBA he started working in ad agencies in Chennai and then in Dubai[ citation needed ].
He started modeling as one of his activities by facing the camera for brands like Musli power, Malayala Manorama, Sharon PVC pipes etc. He debuted into cinema with a cameo role in the Sathyan Anthikad film Puthiya Theerangal. Then came the film American-born Confused Desi (ABCD) directed by Martin Prakkat. He also acted in two short films – the yellow pen [2] directed by Jude Anthany Joseph, and in the short film Scene contra[ citation needed ]. He is also the global head of Aster Volunteers from december 2016 to december 2020 in the CSR and philanthropy department of Aster DM Healthcare Dubai [ citation needed ]. He co wrote [3] the Malayalam film Asha Black as a dialogue associate and also did a full-length role. He cofounded Digifaktory [4] along with Sandeep varma and Gokulnath, a cinema marketing company in the year 2014[ citation needed ]. In 2019 he wrote and directed a short feature film Innaleyolam[ citation needed ].
In April 2016 he published his debut novel [5] (April 2016) in Malayalam.

ABCD: American-Born Confused Desi is a 2013 Indian Malayalam-language black comedy film directed by Martin Prakkat, produced by Shibu Thameens under the banner of Thameens Films. It stars Dulquer Salmaan, Jacob Gregory, Tovino Thomas and Aparna Gopinath. The film features music composed by Gopi Sunder, cinematography is handled by Jomon T. John. The film deals about the journey of two young American Malayalees to Kerala. The title is based on the term American-Born Confused Desi. Released on 14 June 2013, the film received positive reviews and was commercially successful. It marked the first collaboration between Dulquer Salmaan and Martin Prakkat. The film was remade into Telugu in 2019 with the same name.

Padmakumar, and Anto Joseph under the banner of Kavya Film Company in collaboration with P.K. Prime Production. The film stars Tovino Thomas, Kunchacko Boban, Asif Ali, Vineeth Sreenivasan, Narain and Lal with an ensemble cast. Set in a fictional village Aruvikulam, the plot follows characters from all walks of life as they struggle to deal with the flood.
