Kudos to You! is the sixth and final studio album by The Presidents of the United States of America. It was released on February 14, 2014. [1]
The album was announced on November 22, 2013. It started as a project through the direct-to-fan platform PledgeMusic, where fans were able to pledge money for the future album, as well as other rarities, such as lyric sheets. The project reached its goal in nine days.
According to their PledgeMusic campaign, The Presidents of the United States of America more or less actively considered These Are the Good Times People to be their final album. Despite this, studio time was booked for October 2013, with nothing really planned. No songs had been written, but apparently the music kept coming, and more studio time was booked for November.
Also announced as part of this project was a live album, which was released the same day. The live album, Thanks for the Feedback, features 20 songs from one of the band's performances at PUSAFEST '11. [2]
Pledgers were able to pledge money for a limited-edition colored vinyl release of the album, the color of the vinyl voted on by the pledgers. The winning color combination ended up being a burgundy and yellow swirl. This vinyl was exclusive to pledgers, limited to 200 copies, [3] and will reportedly not be reprinted.
All songs written by Chris Ballew, unless otherwise noted. [4]

Many of the songs on the album had previously been recorded by one of Ballew's various musical projects. These include:
The Presidents of the United States of America were an American alternative rock band formed in Seattle, Washington, in 1993. The three-piece group's initial line-up consisted of vocalist and bassist Chris Ballew, drummer Jason Finn, and guitarist Dave Dederer. The band became popular in the mid-1990s for their hits "Lump" and "Peaches"—released in 1995 and 1996, respectively—which helped their self-titled debut album go 3× platinum.
The Presidents of the United States of America is the debut studio album by the American alternative rock band The Presidents of the United States of America, released on March 10, 1995, via PopLlama Records. Columbia Records signed the band shortly after its release to handle increased distribution for the album.
Christopher Ballew is an American musician best known as the lead singer and bassist of the alternative rock group the Presidents of the United States of America. He also performs and records as a children's artist under the pseudonym Caspar Babypants.
13 Other Dimensions was released by The Giraffes through the Seattle label My Own Planet, on CD and vinyl in 1998. It is essentially a solo effort by Chris Ballew, recorded in Ballew's basement. The album was published as being a work by a fictional band composed of Ballew's childhood stuffed animals. Ballew's name appears nowhere on the album.
One Foot in the Grave is the third independent studio album and fourth overall by American alternative rock musician Beck, released in June 1994 on K Records, an independent label. It was recorded prior to the release of Mellow Gold, but was not released until after that album had met critical and commercial success. One Foot in the Grave shows a strong lo-fi and folk influence, and features several songs that are interpolations or covers of songs popularized by artists like Skip James and The Carter Family.
Freaked Out and Small is the third studio album by the American alternative rock band The Presidents of the United States of America. It was released in 2000 by MUSICBLITZ Records, which was a web based label. Copies of the album distributed through MUSICBLITZ included in the liner notes a special thanks to anyone who pre-ordered it from the MUSICBLITZ website. These fans are listed individually, by name.
Love Everybody is the fourth studio album by American rock band The Presidents of the United States of America. It was released on August 17, 2004, on the band's own label, PUSA Inc. It was the group's final album with Dave Dederer.
The Days Are Filled with Years was released by The Giraffes in 2000 on Orange Recordings. It is the second album as The Giraffes by The Presidents of the United States of America's Chris Ballew. Cover art features a picture of Ballew's infant son, Augie Ballew, at the piano.
II is the second studio album by the American rock band The Presidents of the United States of America. It was released via Columbia Records on November 5, 1996, coinciding with the United States presidential election.
"Peaches" is a song by American alternative rock band the Presidents of the United States of America. It was included on their self-titled debut album and released as a single in February 1996. The track was produced by American producer Conrad Uno. The band members have acknowledged that "Peaches" borrows riffs from Bad Company's 1975 song "Feel Like Makin' Love".
"Lump" is a song by alternative rock band the Presidents of the United States of America. It was released in August 1995 and included on their self-titled debut album (1995). The song reached number one on the US Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart same year. Composer Chris Ballew said that the lyrics combined his own history of having a benign tumor in the head with a vision he had of a woman in a swamp, while employing the word "lump" because Ballew was fond of it. The musical part was described by Ballew as him "trying to write a Buzzcocks song". Ballew considers it his favorite composition. "Lump" has been covered or remade by several artists, include the Johnstones and "Weird Al" Yankovic.
"Gump" is a song by American musical parodist "Weird Al" Yankovic. It is a parody of "Lump" by alternative rock group The Presidents of the United States of America and also parodies the 1994 movie Forrest Gump. It is one of a handful of Yankovic songs describing the events of a movie, such as "Jurassic Park" and "The Saga Begins" and currently the only one parodied from a then-recent song.
The Wakefields are an alt-country band based out of Seattle Washington that was formed in 2004 as the by-product of friendships started in previous projects. In December 2004, they released a promotional EP, and soon followed with the release of a full-length CD titled Falling Down Blue.
These Are the Good Times People is the fifth studio album by The Presidents of the United States of America. It was released on March 11, 2008. This is their first album to feature Andrew McKeag instead of Dave Dederer on guitbass.
Loaded is an American rock band from Seattle, Washington, formed in 1999. Since 2001, the band's line-up has included vocalist and rhythm guitarist Duff McKagan, lead guitarist Mike Squires and bassist Jeff Rouse. Since 2009, Isaac Carpenter has been the band's drummer, replacing Geoff Reading.
Dark Days is the debut studio album by American rock band Loaded. Recorded between December 2000 and February 2001 at Jupiter Studios in Seattle, Washington, it was self-released in July 2001.
Nevada Bachelors were an American rock band from Seattle, Washington, formed in 1997. The band's lineup consisted of Robb Benson, Mike Squires and Ben Brunn. Dusty Hayes was the band's drummer from their formation until 1999, and was replaced by Jason Finn. They released two studio albums, Carrots & So On (1998) and Hello Jupiter (2000), before disbanding in 2001.
Martin John Feveyear is a British record producer and audio engineer based in Seattle, Washington. Beginning as a singer-songwriter and musician, Feveyear soon began recording work for artists in both the UK and US before moving to Seattle at the age of 25. Together with Christian Fulghum, he opened Jupiter Studios in Seattle in 1996. He has since worked with artists and groups — producing, engineering, arranging, mixing, mastering and additional instruments — such as Mark Lanegan, Mudhoney, Duff McKagan's Loaded, Kings of Leon, The Presidents of the United States of America, Queens of the Stone Age, Amber Pacific, Jesse Sykes, Sirens Sister, Green Apple Quick Step, Nevada Bachelors, The Minus 5, and Brandi Carlile, among others.

Calm Down Juanita is the eponymous first album by psychedelic rock group Calm Down Juanita, released in 1998 through Echo Records. Ty Willman played keyboard and guitar and sang vocals, while Kevin Guess played drums, keyboard, and loops.
