Kunimi Andrea (born April 27, 1977) is an American singer, actress, voice over artist and edutainer. Andrea is known for her role as the main singer, actress on a popular children's television show Shimajiro for Playtime for Toddlers. [1] [2] [3] She is the voice of Ryfia for the video game Arc Rise Fantasia 2010. [4]

Early life and career beginnings

Andrea was born in San Francisco, California to an American mother, Teri Suzanne, from Monrovia and a Japanese father. Her parents met while her mother was studying abroad in Japan. [1] [2] [5] She is the older sister of Mayuka Thaïs [5] and have worked on numerous albums together. [6] Andrea started her singing career at the age of 8 and recorded Minna De Merry Christmas from Nippon Columbia. In 2004, Andrea recorded Genki Genki Utaou Nontan's bilingual Christmas album for Nippon Columbia along with her sister Mayuka Thaïs, and her mother Teri Suzanne. [7] To date, Andrea has worked on countless albums and singles. [8] She honed her acting skills for 13 years while studying at the Aoyama Theatre in the round, bilingual Performing Arts Group (P.A.G), [5] at the National Children's Castle's Aoyama Theatre. [9]

Tenchi the Movie 2: Daughter of Darkness, known in Japan as Tenchi Muyō! Midsummer's Eve in Japan is the second of three films set in the Tenchi Muyo! multi-verse directed by Tetsu Kimura and written by Nahoko Hasegawa. The film was released in Japan on August 2, 1997, as a double feature, along with Slayers Great. The film was later released in North America on Laserdisc on 31 March 1998 and DVD on August 8, 1998. Tenchi Muyo! Daughter of Darkness was later re-released along with Tenchi the Movie: Tenchi Muyo in Love and Tenchi Forever! The Movie in a collectors' pack. Funimation announced distribution of the film, along with several other Tenchi properties, on July 2, 2010, at Anime Expo.

Shima Shima Tora No Shimajirō is a 1993 Japanese children's slice of life anime series primarily aimed at preschoolers and animated by Pierrot Plus based on the Kodomo Challenge Educational Learning Program created by Benesse in 1988. It is created and directed by veteran director Hisayuki Toriumi and character designs by Shigehito Tsuji. Performing Arts Group (P.A.G) was the first multi-cultural bilingual group to perform the first bilingual family theatre and family disco productions founded in 1985 by Teri Suzanne in Tokyo, Japan. Their performance and productions were at the Aoyama Theatre in Tokyo, Japan. In the span of 13 years the company produced over 150 shows.
