Kuntur Qaqa (Quechua kuntur condor, qaqa rock, [2] "condor rock", hispanicized spelling Condorgaga) is a mountain in the Cordillera Negra in the Andes of Peru, about 4,600 metres (15,092 ft) high. It is situated in the Ancash Region, Recuay Province, Marca District. [1]
Condor is the common name for two species of New World vultures, each in a monotypic genus. The name derives from the Quechua kuntur. They are the largest flying land birds in the Western Hemisphere.
The Cordillera Negra is part of the Cordillera Occidental, one of three mountain ranges in the Andes of west central Peru. It is almost entirely located within the Ancash Region.
